What gun did you buy today?

I ordered a PSA AR 9 pistol with a 10.5" barrel.

I've been wanting one for a while. Finally pulled the trigger.

I picked up an Fedarm FX4 (12 ga) last week:

Bought it new on a whim and for a song on Gunbroker.
Came out a little under $200 after shipping and transfer from the auction.

I am impressed with this little 4+1 shotgun. After removing all the packaging grease and adding 5w20 synthetic to all the internals and mag tube I took it out and it shot flawlessly. Worked great with 00-buck, 4-shot, 1-oz shot n' ball, and Monarch (cheapo) 8-shot. No failures to report after around 300 shells and it is breaking in nicely. Cleaned up pretty quick too and was easy to sight in the shot n' ball with a Phillips screwdriver. Hits a ton on the steel targets with the buckshot, but we all know that.

Honestly, it still hasn't found its "niche" in my list of house shotguns as it won't replace anything that I currently have for self-defense...yet. I want to keep it in my car or truck (replace the Stevens 320), but for now, I am keeping it as a fun range toy for practice until it hits 1000 shells with no failures.

While you can hold a safe down by loading it with a bunch of scrap steel like that I find it easier to bolt them to the slab.

With an empty weight of 1800 lbs, I still bolt 'em on all four corners AND in the middle w/case-hardened bolts.

It took ya a whole month??? There's folks on this page that can tell you I've been known to buy that many (or more) at one time......might be doing it again this weekend - gots me some mad money an' got a call from a guy that NEEDS to raise some $$$ ASAP. I generally have "deal" gun money stashed - but they've gotta want to sell 'em bad.

Picked up a full dip Howa 6.5 Grendal today. It's got a Nikko Stirling 4-16x44 scope. At first blush it doesn't look too bad for a cheap scope, we'll see. I got a Vortex 3-12x50 that can replace it if necessary. Threaded barrel. Bipod and box of ammo in the deal.
First Howa and 6.5G I've owned. Busy til I can get out to test it next week. Range report coming

Probably a decent scope. Check all mounting screws before sighting in. Never trust factory mounting.

After testing it in the range and discovering that this thing shoots so easily, I decided to join the ugliest-gun-ever club.

Bah.

Sold my fns9c and got g48, it looks hideous (in my opinion) but it's so easy to shoot that I didn't recognize my own groupings
