    Does it also allow you to "tune" it as well?
    Adjust shift points, etc...

    ETA: Just googled it.
    Curious if it's a power adder as well.
    I bought a similar item years ago for my truck, but not for the purpose of adjusting the speedometer, which it does also.

    Nope no power adder. It is sold just with the purpose of calibrating the speedometer. It has an internal gps and uses it to calibrate the computer. I’ll let the shop calibrate my computer for power once I supercharge it.

    Disassembly complete. Unfortunately I have run out of time and have to leave for "work" tomorrow so I'll have to pick this back up in July.

    It'll only go back together one way. It's not bad. It looks like alot of parts but it's big pieces. It's nothing but a modern version of a 350 Chevy v8. You don't even need to take pictures. You'll remember where things go. If not, you get to do it twice.

    You will forget what went where if you wait that long
    I can help him out on that one, I quite literally know nearly every part on that car from memory and half the torque specs to go along with it.
    How can you tell? Does ROYAL Purple leave a bronze residue?
    Yeah the colorant they add is unmistakable. See the front of the block where the timing set was? That's telltale for sure.

    Well color me confused then ;) I only ran M1 in my Formula, and when I pulled the motor at ~80k for an upgrade it was all still bright silver. When we tore down cars for heads/cam swaps, all the RP motors looked just like yours.

    Yeah, I hear ya. I've seen RP motors too, like my friends old firehawk. He tried to get me to run RP but I was happy with M1. Maybe he snuck some in behind my back. :)

    Question for you SBC guys.
    I’ve got a 99 Suburban with a Gen 1 350. Great motor and it will likely outlive me.

    Let’s say I wanted to freshen up the motor. I’d love to drop in a 383 stoker crate motor, like this;
    http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/small-block-ht-383e http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/small-block-ht-383e

    With a custom tune, they make ridiculous, reliable power:

    What would you guys do/recommend?
