After reading the posts of a couple of guys here, I think I will start carrying a Thompson with two or three spare drum mags.
Good investment and great therapy.People who whine they can’t hit a barn with their CCW.
When asked why don’t they go to the range and practice? You’re met with a stupefying stare and the wail “them shells cost money!”
Each person can do whatever they want, you can consider my advice or say it's balderdash, that does not matter to me. I was only discussing what I believe is best just as others are doing likewise. Each person has to weigh the probabilities and come to their own comfort level.
Well, for the data given in that same piece I quoted from BJS (or BJs), the incidence of gang related homisides in 2008, the last year of the study was 6%. Since it is a .S. government report and thus there can be no copyright as it is in the public domain, I will put the quote here:I would argue with that.
Given the number of homicides that are gang related would tend to skew your math. Stay away from gangs and your odds would decrease dramatically.
Take out gang related, the most likely way to get killed by homicide for most;
During a rape, armed robbery, burgalry or killed by a family member.
How many assailants during those types of crime?

I have no clue if that percentage has gone up or down or remained the same since then.Gang violence accounted for 1% of all homicides in 1980 and 6% of all homicides in 2008.
Have you been watching Peaky Blinders?Poser.
Real men carry a Lewis Gun.
I will, and I don't need anyone else's permission. Each person can do whatever they want, you can consider my advice or say it's balderdash, that does not matter to me. I was only discussing what I believe is best just as others are doing likewise.
For me though, I must admit, it has little to do with comfort and more to do with the practicalities of carrying and why I carry. Carrying has never been comfortable for me and now that I am getting on in years and Arthur I. Tis is a constant companion - carrying extra magazines is almost always uncomfortable. For some reason though, I still do it; however, if you are uncomfortable carrying a spare magazine or better yet two, or two speedloaders, go with what you believe is best for you.
Have you been watching Peaky Blinders?
And from whence do you draw that assumption?however, if you are uncomfortable carrying a spare magazine or better yet two, or two speedloaders,

Clean it?One of the more pathetic ones I've heard, "I don't want to shoot my gun because then I'll have to clean it."
No, I am not making that up.
Clean it?
Who'd you have to pull it out for? The same people you were servicing?[/QUOTE

Did anyone say you needed permission? Certainly was not said nor implied by me. Funny way to put it all in into perspective by what you said in the above quote; gave me a good belly laugh - thanks I needed that.I will, and I don't need anyone else's permission.
