Went out to the ranch tonight for supper
    Cool and damp out here.

Feeder was 225 yards down the hill so on the chance a pig came by I had the gun set up to blast away.

Meanwhile I had a small fire in a pit I made from a truck rim and the Dutch oven with Texas chili

Making some chili this morning for our family’s Christmas gathering. Celebrating today in order to accommodate my large family.

Everyone else is focused on brunch this morning. But we’ll be hungry again this afternoon. Making the chili milder than normal for the kids. But will have some heat available for those who prefer that.

I normally place 6 whole jalepenos in it. The slow heat it gives it is really nice. Only using one today. I fish the jalepenos out prior to serving.
