The worst for me are small pistols. Taurus TCP with stout loads, a 38spc derringer, S&W J frame 38spc, Keltec PF9, AMT backup. All small and they beat up the meaty part of my palm by the thumb. After shooting half a box or more, I cant shoot a full size pistol accurately.

My shoulder gets to me after a long duration of work outs or more than a couple shots of heavy recoil. That being said, a browning blr light weight. In 30-06. Not much weight to those guns.

That's my daily carry, I don't mind shooting it enough to stay reasonably proficient but it's not a "fun gun" by any means.

I still haven't found a gun that I just didn't like, or found the experience not enjoyable. I'm making a list of interesting guns to shoot from this thread :)

    Exactly, see post #8.

12 Ga. Rossi single shot, weighing in at 5 lbs.

Shot a 3" turkey load and man, painful. Shoulder and cheek busted.

I then put a heavy duty butt pad and padded cheek rest on it.

Who knows, I may one day shoot it again....with field loads.....maybe.

    Shady,

I have a LC9S that after putting about 500 rounds through it - retired it as end table gun.

Micro guns aren't fun to shoot, too damn snappy.

Ben, is that the one you let me shoot at Hicksville, with the trigger so light you had me dry fire before loading the chamber?
Yes, I think that's the one he's talking about. As I said in my answer to him, though, it's not actually chambered for a Wby cartridge.

The trigger is still 6 ounces, though, so I know which one you're referring to. I also have a 2-ounce trigger on my Wichita .308 pistol. Those kinds of triggers take a bit of getting used to.

For me the most unpleasant has to be the AMT .45 Backup DAO. No enjoyable part.
Painful goes to the OP's .45/.410 Derringer. One round and it stands up and digs a hole in the webbing of your hand. Painful that was not the guns fault is a Browning .22 pistol. The first semi I ever shot. Did not know what a slide was. It came back and made a deep clean "U" shaped cut into my thumb. Seemed like it bled for days. Never hold your thumb up to steady a shot.

I once fired Blazer aluminum .44 magnum in a model 29 once.

I blasted tiny shards of aluminum into my strong-hand. Not fun

I am not a fan of glocks but I am really not a fan of firing 10mm out of one. A full power 10mm fired from a lightweight plastic framed pistol. Not fun in my opinion. If I get a 10mm pistol it needs to weigh around 40oz or more.

    Another bad one was a 3 1/2" 12 gauge 00 Buck round out of a mossberg 835.

As far as glocks go, i had to force myself to like them, and now i really like them

    I’ve got a tie:

44 mag American derringer with stout factory 240 gr. For me is much worse than the 45 Colt/410.

Agree with Easy Rider on this one,
10 ga 20 inch double thus no recoil system. Shot #2 shot factory hunting loads. Had instant headache for 2 days.

Needless to say, I sold both immediately.

When I was about 12 it was a 12 gauge. Nocked me back and almost drop the gun. I kept on hunting. I knew what to expect next time I shot at doves. Now I have 2 mossberg 500’s both 12 gauge. One is the 500a the other is the flex.

It wasn’t horrible. It was my least favorite. I mostly carry a Bodyguard.380. It’s not fun to shoot at the range, but it’s less snappy than the. .40.

Of course I like shooting any gun.

My favorite hand gun to shoot is my Beretta 92 FS.

    Those two.....

I dont understand this one. My family has several and carries them. Never had this problem. Also have the 45's but Im the only one that likes em.

    .
Yeah it's weird but it was just punishment for my hands. The great .45acp and .357mag don't really bother me but that 9mm Sheild did.

Not sure if it's me being a bitch or if it just doesn't work for me.
