A lot would depend on what I'm up against, and the arms of the OPFOR. If they're carryin' 5.56, then the AR. If they're carryin' AK's, then I'll go w/that. I wanna mask the "signature" of any rounds I pop to sound like theirs as much as possible - plus gettin' ammo resupply would be simplified....

Sidearm...it'd be .45. If I run out, then I'll just liberate what I need if it comes to that.

Depends on what kind of shit hit which type of fan.

If I had to drive out, i would put as much in my BOB as possible. If I had to hump out, def a .223/5.56 variant, as they are lighter and I can carry more rounds. It would also be easy on the wife. For a side arm, 1911 for me and XDm for the wife.

Ar-15 and 1911 - I have a pair of each for me and the wife, along with eight spare magazines for each weapon. All weapons are in the safe in condition 1, and all spare mags are loaded, and in grab bags for fast removal in case we have to perform a strategic withdraw from the house.

I have been reading a new book on the topic of bugging out for effectively an uncertain amount of time. Since it would be my wife and I together our firearms would be as follows.

S&W Model 28s on the hips (both)
Marlin 336c 30-30 - Broken down and in my bag - Will switch to a .357 model when I buy one
Ruger 10/22 broken down and in her bag
Ruger MK III 22/45 in my pack
Tuarus 94 22lr revolver in her pack

I just picked up a judge as well, and that could possibly make it into a pack as well for modified bird hunting...just depends on what my scouted area looks like for game. We'll be making a trip out to the area I want to plan for next summer..My goal is to get out of civilization and not come back until things have resettled if that even happens.

Now my weapons for a Urban break out scenario where we couldn't make it out would be my XD9 and My AR. My wife would have her XD9 and an AR or her remmy 12 ga...

Well, I have most all the popular choices
Sitting in the gunsafe AR, AK, FAL, combat shotguns, and scoped
Precision rifles..... Plus What WW2 threw up at my house lol
Garands, Carbines, O3A3, Enfields, K31, Mosins.
Pistols from Beretta M9's to Tokarevs, and magnum revolvers.

That being said, I would stick to what I stood the best chance
Of finding ammo in the future... 223 Remington/ 9mm.
Needbee most things in texas that you would hunt to eat could be taken
    Down with these calibers.
I would carry my 20" pencil barreled A1, with the
Nikon M223 1-4x and my AWC optima 5.56 sound suppressor.
And Beretta M9 with CT laser grips.
I do have both soft and rifle rated body
Armor/ ACH kevlar helmet also if need be.
A decent trauma first aid kit and water filtering gear too.
