Dawico, if you can lay a plastic pistol, like a Glock, next to a Smith & Wesson revolver or a Colt Python and say the quality is the same or even CLOSE, I sure as hell KNOW you don't know ANYTHING about quality! Damn, man! LOL!

Quality and craftsmanship are not the same thing.

Glocks weren't designed or marketed as pieces of art. They are sold as solid firearms that work no matter the conditions. That is quality.

And I would bet you could lay 15 of the most popular plastic "quality" wonders on a table, have 10 different people look at them from 15 feet away, and they wouldn't be able to tell the DIFFERENCE between them. Glock has no claim to the title of "most reliable" anymore! I put forth that Rugers plastic American pistol could probably claim that title now, since it passed with flying colors the Army's torture test for a new pistol. Even though Ruger didnt officially enter it into said competition. But I would bet if you laid Colt Python on that table, alongside the plastic wonders, EVERYONE would be able to tell you what it is! I've owned Glocks, and I carry a Ruger SR-40. Why? Because it functions as well as any Glock I've ever owned, and it's better looking. Glocks have no soul, and are ugly-ass pistols!

So, did we ever determine why Smith & Wesson stays in MA? LOL!
My guess is that there are many reasons that outweigh a states controls. I have been very pleased with their Performance Center, and I would hate to see that suffer from a move.

You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I agree they're ugly. I agree they function well. I hate the grip angle, and the shape of the grips on Glocks I've held. I even understand what you mean by them having no soul... (even tho no gun literally has a soul) But all of those are subjective (except the function, that can be measured)

but as far as quality- all of the above (except function) means Jack shit, and Jack left town. You're reaching on your hate of Glocks... I don't like 'em, only one I've every had any use for was a Glock 20.... but I wound up selling it... didn't like it more than somebody else did who had cash.

I think that about sums up my opinion.

Well, this sums up my opinion: put a model 27 Smith side by side with ANY plastic pistol. See the HAND checkering on the top strap of the 27. Feel the quality of those wooden grips, feel the way it locks up! THATS quality! It's not hard, guys!

And that dumbass poly rifling? No lead bullets in Glocks unless you buy a high dollar aftermarket barrel. I've owned two of those turds, and these are some of the reasons I no longer own ANY!

Apparently I struck a nerve... you did read the part where I don't like Glocks, right?

This may come as a shock to you, but not everybody can ID a "smith" by model number.... I don't know wtf a model 27 is off the top of my head. You say it's "not hard", but it sounds like revolvers are Viagra to you.

I'm totally with you on the Glock 22 "smilies", bulged or preggo brass... I think they wanted to have AK like tolerances for reliability, but they went too far. There's reasons they don't support anything but factory ammo (no reloads)

There are merits to polygonal rifling... higher velocity, lack of defined rifilng marks makes ballistic match very difficult. But yeah, no lead.

    I don't own a single Glock.

Smith and Wesson consider Mass their home. However, with that state's anti-gun laws, I'm no longer buying S&W. Why should my dollar go into the economy of a state that infringes on the 2A rights of it's people?
