Last Nov I spent 2 weeks in Israel. Never been there and never knew anyone well who had. Traveled all over the country, met lots of folks and have nothing but good to say and think about the country and its people...

Yeah, I was lucky to be posted to Camp Zouani when I was. It was a time of relative peace and we had unfettered access to all of Israel and Syria. I was a member of CCUNDOF (Canadian Contingent United Nations Disengagement Observer Force).

Now, to head off all the comments, I don't like the U.N. any more than any of you but a good soldier goes where he's told, right?

The Israelis I met, both civilian and military were all good people and even though they didn't like the U.N. either, they treated us well. The Syrian Liaison Officers we dealt with were friendly too, but they were educated, spoke good English, and had much contact with Westerners which I believe countered all the anti-West, anti-Jewish, and anti-Christian propaganda they received.

If there is any country that deserves our unfettered support, it's Israel. It's not just biblical, it's logical and humanitarian also.

History has taught us that the first one to use it is the winner. We are currently at war, the radical muslims are the hammer and they see the US as the head of the nail. We currently have a POTUS that will CHEERFULLY allow a nuke to take out a city in the US and NOT interfere with his Golf game...I pray for him:

    Dear Lord:
This past year has been very tough.
    You have taken my favorite Actor - James Garner;
    My favorite Actress - Lauren Bacall;
My favorite Comedians - Robin Williams & Joan Rivers,
and finally, my favorite Author -Tom Clancy.

I just wanted you to know that my favorite Politicians are
Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
    Amen"

    "History has taught us....."

The only nukes dropped were dropped at a time when no one else had them, today we live in the world of MAD. A world where dropping a nuke pretty much insures the destruction of yourself, as well as the enemy.

I guess you could call that a victory.....

Your lack of foresight is disturbing.

    Concur fully.

We were a small group of only 18 or 20 folks. We had and Israeli 3 star attached to us for the entire time, Navy SEALs and Israeli SF for guards. We spent a lot of time getting briefed on military bases and posts (Camp Adam and others). GREAT soldiers, great people and 100% said this:

"we love America, we love Americans, but we do not trust your government!" LOL

"no one else had them"...YET!! We were just the first!

As to whether or not we currently have our long standing nuclear posture:

    1) US reserves first strike capability

    2) US has 'scorched earth' strategy

I do not know if that is in effect and neither do you, its my guess we don't, Klinton was the first to change it and I suspect that Obama has completely deleted it.

Being a legend in your own mind does not qualify you as being a subject matter expert on anything and its obvious!

Lol. I think you should head your own advice.
Since you like history why do you argue against the time proven concept, of a DEAD enemy is no longer a threat? Nukes are a Awshit option, but turning a sponsor country into a glass ashtray fixes that problem. You cannot talk your way out of every situation, or keep up a limp wristed defense forever.

    Lol.

Since when is the choice "nuke'em or do nothing"?

It much easier to just say "shoot'em" when no oft else has a gun. We are no longer the only ones with nukes. We start using them and others will too.

Kiss the world economy and most everything you hold dear goodbye when nuclear war becomes the norm. We should avoid edging closer to that line whenever possible, and that means NOT taking a giant leap towards it by nuking a country because some guys decided to go apeshit with their religion and kill anyone who doesn't follow their extremist view.

I wouldn't even to begin to think this nation (not its leaders) has become so weak that we need nukes to deal with a threat like ISIS.

I didn't say nuke or nothing. It is basically the last step, but we damn sure better let those sheep rapers know it can happen.
Since the libtards and politicians have made it illegal for you ( the general public) to fight back against terrorists or the same said gov't and libtards , where do you see this "Strength" coming from?

We've been fighting radical Muslims since 1797. These people believe that pillaging is more moral than trade, and that culture is even older than Muhammad. It's never going away. The only way to "win" is to not play their game.

People, they walk among us. What is so chilling is that this student can openly say she is for the concentrating of Jews in Israel to make it easier for Hezbollah to hunt them down with out fear of censure from her fellow students or faculty.
I'm not surprised... In the 1930's we had a rather large and growing Nazi party here in the US. Movements like this have a tendency to get nastier and gain momentum until they run their course and get squashed. Almost like a cultural virus.

I say let them take a country over, any country, Iraq is fine, let them build their Army, and what ever else they want to. Let them at it until its country vs country and then and only then do we rain the very fires of hell upon them, we can defeat them, but not before.
Agree wholeheartedly. Going after them now will just scatter them and make them more effective terrorists. They want a "state"... Let them have it. A state is something our state (or Israel) can destroy; if they are a real threat by that time. Additionally, the Arab nations that support terrorists groups with one hand and then beg us the stop the terrorists with the other need to deal with this crap on their own. Can't have it both ways anymore...

    But the Israel:America thing?
Reconquista is a bit like Zionism, so I guess that's "American"

That seems to be a recurring theme with everyone who was questioned in the video. All I see is shoulder shrugs and walk offs. If what you say is true, why don't you debate instead of just claiming that God gave the land to you then ending the discussion at that?
Just finished watching all five parts... Obvious bias is obvious, but one thing stood out to me. From these videos it looks like the majority of the Israeli settlers in the west bank are settling on unused land. Looks a lot like the ancient tradition of homesteading to me. Find some land that isn't used by anyone, put it to use, and it becomes yours. This is how you should "gain" land. Now if they are taking land already used by someone else then that's theft, but that's not what these videos showed.

Except the "Reconquista" is based upon the false premise that the United States of America stole Texas away from Mexico, which is historically incorrect. The Tejanos broke away and formed their own republic first, then later joined the U.S.

Zionism is all about reclaiming the Jewish homeland, which was lost to Jews because of the diaspora. Both Biblically and historically, the Twelve Tribes of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Zebulun, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Manasseh, Ephraim, and Benjamin controlled land that today includes parts of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt. All Zionists want today is but a small part of their previous empire.

Yep, and the Reconquistas are also wrong about NM and AZ because the US legitimately purchased that from Mexico... When I say "a bit" I was thinking about how the Zionists encouraged illegal immigration back when the British controlled Palestine had strict limits on Jewish immigration. The Brits eventually changed their mind, but it was a little too late for many Jews in Europe that wanted to leave.

Meh... Invasion and conquest has been considered a "noble" way to expand and gain land for all of human history. Doesn't mean it's right or the best way, and two wrongs don't make a right. Everyone should have their own place in the world, but conquest is not necessary. There is plenty of room for everyone if we would just mind our own business and not bother our neighbors.

Most of the nations of Europe and the Americas were formed by conquest at some point in time. I say all but there's probably at least one that isn't.

Sure the Mexicans want Texas back, don't blame them one bit, I would too. On the list of world economies based upon GDP, Texas is 13, Mexico is 15...DUH.

American Indians in spite of all the evidence still like to call themselves "NATIVE" Americans. Native they are not, in fact they were even late to settle America by some where between 15000 and 25000 years. When we arrived to settle the country we were met by the Indians. We came over on ships, had a compass to guide our way, had a written and spoken language and traveled on horseback with a saddle. The Indians had none of that and basically lived hand to mouth, few had any farming efforts or much of a structured society. When asked what was their land the answer was its all our land in spite of every single tribe making the same claims across the country, they had maps, nothing.

History has been a story of survival of the fittest, still is, always will be...

Absolutely! Whether we're talking about species or nations, one must remain the "fittest" or perish. Throughout history many empires have flourished then floundered because they became decadent and soft. We're seeing the downward slide of America right now for those two very same reasons.

How bout we secede then take over Mexico and clean house.

That we we can have some nice beaches and even more oil.
I am with you and I expect we would be met with open arms.

Sapp, you are dead on, America is not just soft but getting squishy to boot. We are getting ripe for a take over.

    The way I see it:

America will continue its decline leaving China and Russia setting at opposite ends of he table, the rest of us in the middle. I do not think either China or Russia will want to be the King of the hill. History has taught us that does not work and and even Hitler and Japan knew the world was too big for one and one only.

China: Asia, parts of the ME and a scattering of countries where they have signed massive oil and mineral leases.

Russia: Takes Europe, the Med, some in the ME and others across the world for strategic reasons. Russia has MASSIVE oil and gas reserves, they do not need the worlds.

They will both will share in S America.

This leaves USA. West of the Rockies = China, East of the Miss river = Russia. Notice I left out Texas. Texas is the gem, its the 13th largest economy in the world and Texas may well be up for grabs and a point of contention between Russian and China. Also Texas will and can pull together a collation which includes Ok, La, Az and Al, Ar (will jump in also but bring little to the table) NM will pass, its an Indian settlement, they don't give a damn and would welcome socialism in a heartbeat.

NOTE: I have not said a word about war as in bullets. I see little need for this, maybe a few battles here and there, the UK could put up a fight, but without US backing they will fold like a taco.

They will do this economically: China really has not Oil and Gas, Russia probably has the largest deposits in the world. China on the other hand has signed off on some of the largest O&G purchasing agreements in the world and about 80% of all Rare Earth Elements are now coming from China. Add it up!

Rare Earth (high tech manufacturing) O&G control globally, war, don't need no stinkin war to win.

The key to assessing Muslim behavior is to disregard what they SAY. It's part of their culture to lie to Infidels like us. Instead, look at what they DO and you'll get a better idea of what's going on inside their heads.

This is not based upon any particular study of their culture. I observe and base my opinions upon what I see. The behavior I based this on is repeated so often that it's become routine.
