Where our govt is headed is hard to predict but when you have the POTUS stand in front of the America people and tell us that ISIS are NOT Muslims, something is bad wrong. When US soldiers are killed by a radical muslim (Ft Hood) who was allowed to be in our Army and no one would do anything about it. Even when he was screaming 'for allah'. I am surprised that Obammy did not try to tell us that in the 'name of allah' is Muslim for 'ollie ollie oxen free'. When the President calls that 'workplace violence' we got some problems.

I don't agree with what that student said. But I've heard the same such stupidity spewed for both sides.

I tend to agree, we are far too divided as a group, the melting pot failed years ago, poor public schools are so far left they will not teach values or love of country rather they teach social issues explaining to little Jose his culture is much better then what we have here, this trend continue on into liberal universities.

We're losing the middle class and once that goes all that will remain is a poor/rich society aka socialism then the real fighting begins. Having said that I hope I'm wrong but drastic change will be necessary to halt the current process and a large portion of our population won't like it.

Only recently on the NatGeo channel, they documented illegals in Ca who MURDER US citizens and AND are given the option to be sent back to MEXICO to be tried under their law. They have no death penalty and get very lenient treatment for the crime. Our courts are out of control.

Also, I don't see how what she is saying could be said to cause someone to commit and act of violence, when Hezbollah is already fighting with them.

A double standard is being applied. Should we fight to make sure freedom of speech is protected, or attempt to make sure that if our rights out infringed, someone else's are equally infringed?


One more note: People have been saying dumb shit since humans have been able to speak. This is nothing new. Hell, Henry Ford was a fan of Hitler.

There is a major difference here vs most all wars. Its country vs country, politics vs politics. The US vs Germany and Japan. We fought until someone was beat and threw in the towel.

But the Gerry's and Japs never HATED us, nor did we HATE them, when the war was over we welcomed them with open arms, same with the N Vietnamese (we still are at war with N korea, we just have a cease fire).

Muslims HATE and have for the past several thousand years. They hate the world.

I say let them take a country over, any country, Iraq is fine, let them build their Army, and what ever else they want to. Let them at it until its country vs country and then and only then do we rain the very fires of hell upon them, we can defeat them, but not before. As long as they are lone operators in scattered cells across the world all we can do is kill off a few at a time and it will be never ending. We kill 10 in a drone strike and they kill a thousand at a Mall, sports game, office building pick your explosion, then we go kill 4 more and round up some Mohammed guy and put in in court (NOT a military court...CRAZY) there he will make a world wide statement and win again. FACT they do not care if they die for allah.

But let them have a country, a structure, a Army, command and control and now they are playing by our rules. Now we can wipe them off the face of the earth and if we have to turn their country of choice into a molten glass parking lot. They are a cancer and the only way to cure it is to get it all in one place at one time and cut it out.

Really? While everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts this is one of those cases where opinion and fact tend to blur along the edges.

For example...

"Let me say this: ... those who hate Jews hate Christians. ..."

...is factually true only if Jews and Christians are the same thing.

Guess what? There are plenty of Christians who would say that is essentially the case. Specifically, many Christians hold that their religion is simply Judaism + a true Messiah. Thus, Christianity is the same as Judaism. You don't have to look far to find Christian sects who do more than simply keep kosher; minus a few details and dress, they might as well be Hasidic.

I'm not sure where Cruz gets his comparative religion knowledge but, depending on how you look at it, a statement that Jews and Christians are the same, in the right context, may not be outrageous.
