And here I was considering getting an M1A. Time to look elsewhere. Might be the powers that be telling me a FAL or G3 clone is the way to go for a 308 semi auto.

If you don't think I'm warm and cuddly, I'll kick your ass....

Fair point, I think the kind of people that generally visit this and other forums like it fit into about 5 or 6 personality profiles and none of them are the warm cuddly types.

No one cares what either of you think.

I happy with my PTRs, however they destroy brass if you reload.

i think there a couple parts you can change to G3 parts to soften the dents and creases.

they're heavy sons of bitches though

Well I got that or DS Arms. Or I can look at the many many options of an AR based 308's. And I have shot a G3 clone. Yeah that was a bit heavy. But dammit I need something for long range. And I prefer to have something semi auto.

i do have the PTR91 MSR, which they don't make anymore. it's green, like ODG, 18" bull barrel, optic ready.

like a few of my guns, haven't shot it yet, so I can't comment on it. But it's an option outside of the typical ar10/lr308 platform. slapping the charging handle sure is fun though.

I love my HK SR9, my Greek EBO SAR8, and my three PTRs.

    And I'm well over 50 . . . and cranky as hell.
