I figure sometime in the not so distant future we are going to have a Dem Pres and a Dem majority in both houses and the party will be over. I'm just going to continue to buy ammo and a few more or ten guns I want till then.
Just don't take them all to Vegas, not good timing.

Chris Cox (NRA) was on Tucker tonight. Check the FOX site for video.

LaPierre will be on Hannity tonight.

What about pants with belt loops? Since you can use them to bump fire a rifle shouldn’t they be illegal? What about suspenders? You can bump on them also...

I can see i will have troubles keeping my pants up.

Yep, leave the ocean and jump into the pond.

Most of what these smaller groups do is yell "yeah, take that" when the NRA stomps some anti gun bill into the dirt.

Don't get me wrong, one day one of these groups may overtake the NRA in power and I am all for it. But not a damn one of them is going to stop Soros or Feinstein (or whoever) on this issue right now.

There is a reason why the NRA is constantly attacked by the Left. They are the kings of 2A rights.

You don't hear the Left calling for the destruction of the GOA or whoever. In the grand scheme of things these smaller groups are nobody.

Join which ever group you want but don't leave the NRA to do it.

Respectfully, I disagree. The Second Amendment Foundation has a particular focus on finding cases, filing lawsuits that will set useful precedents, then doggedly pursuing them. They also sponsor the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, probably the most educational forum out there for people actively concerned about gun rights in the US and around the world.

Yes, there's a great deal of self-serving self-promotion on their web site. But if you take the time to separate the wheat from the chaff, it's clear that the SAF has initiated a bunch of lawsuits. (See: https://www.saf.org/category/legal/ )They tend to do the right thing in courts while the NRA does the right thing politically. We need them both in our society if we're going to protect the 2A.

Still and always a Golden Eagle, here. I'm mad enough to spit over how the NRA is screwing up at this moment but that doesn't mean I'll abandon them. I didn't abandon them after the Hughes Amendment. They didn't become irrelevant after the Mulford Act or the NFA. Despite those horrible stains on their reputation (and this bump-fire thing has the potential to become another), I'm not jumping ship.
