Been straight shaving for a couple years now, though I only shave every 3 weeks or so or when the wife yells at me to shave it. I've got a pretty hard whisker and hurt her when we kiss so I'm sympathetic. I like classic men things and wet shaving with the straight fits my style. Regarding shave soap, Sterling Soap Co, a Texas Co. is great, made with fats (tallow and lanolin) and comes in hella different masculine scents. Rod is a great guy actually making the Noir on my request, I love that musk. That and his Nag Champa are my favorites thus far.

I'm an official customer for Shave Butter. The gf bought me a tube and it's the bees knees. Lots better then shaving cream. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner.

It feels like shaving with really slick moisturizing body lotion. Smells good too.

Thick, tough beard. Had to shave twice a day as an Aggie Fish, boot camp, and OCS to keep from getting gigged at inspections; and ladies complained about getting skin rash.

Go ahead, laugh ........... Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

Had eye problems after cataract surgery.
Doc recommended washing eyelids daily with JBS and warm water.
Noticed how slick it felt, and since it was running down my cheek anyway, rubbed it around and grabbed my razor.

As long as I shave every morning, I not going back to anything else. And amazing how fast a shave is using it.

I use my conditioning shampoo for lather, too. Really works well for the beard, too.
