My Merkur still has the original blade almost two years later. I shave once a week, it's been a great experience making the switch a few years ago. Definitely am not going back to disposables. More expensive and less of a good shave.

Dude, you got peach fuzz still or something? I shave mine once a week with a merkur blade and I get roughly a month out of one...

One of these, and a 100 count of Wilkinson double edge blades and you're good for years!

Wish I had never used electric razors or stupid ass disposables.

Been wet shaving with a De safety for years. Can't imagine life before it.

I had to travel recently and the TSA confiscated my blade on the way to my destination. The disposable one from the hotel sucked to put it mildly. My face hated me for hours.

I just talked to friend Bonnie on the phone as I was reading this thread. We laughed about some of the rough, gruff things that I'm famous for. Going back to the thread, I realized the silly way that I'm constructed.

Yes, I am a "no shxt" kind of guy and can be gruff at times. I also have the most baby sensitive skin on the planet! When I shaved with a razor, if there was the slightest residue of soap left on my mug, I'd break out in a killer rash. Similarly, in the shower, if I didn't rinse any parts completely of all soap, that area would break out in a near fatal rash!

I wash my face in rubbing alcohol which leaves no residue and removes oil. Then the electric razor mows the face. Manly or not, that's the way it happens here.

Got a new Böker Elite Carbon the other day. Love the flex in their blades. We will see how long she holds an edge.

Didn't realize you could grow facial hair.

I use an old Super Speed as my regular. As far as soap is concerned Mitchell's Wool Fat is where it's at.

I've been using a shave cream from a little store in the mall. It's good stuff. Pea size dab on the brush with lather your whole face. I'll try yours when I run out.

I have a full beard. I just use a cheap safety razor to dry shave around the edges and use a beard trimmer as needed.
