You'll like. What breed is it?
American preditor. The heavy threaded barrel/green stock one. I was originally set on the 6mmCM but after watching tiborasaurusrex talking about the 243, 260, and 7-08, I really liked the all around ballistics on the 7-08. Couldn't seem to find a ruger with a heavy bbl though. Plus I already have some nice 6.5 bthp bullets from the Jap rifle. That's and brass will be much cheaper than the 6mm.

I cast a few bullets with a new to me mold, H&G 39, the ones on the right. It's a 158 gr RN for the .38/.357. Had a bunch of bullets that needed coating so I did a couple pans of those.

Non stick aluminum foil works pretty good too. Just make sure you turn the shiny side down!

I didn't have luck with either side down. Or with 2 kinds of foil. I haven't been concerned with looks. I'm just coating mine for plinking. Tumble them in a plastic container and then dump them on a wire mesh to bake. After they come out I drop them in water and break them apart.

My way ends up with bald spots o. The bullets. I've been thinking of actually trying to stand them all up but was shyed away from my previous experience. Maybe I'll order a pan and a silicone mat.

I pick up the pans at Walmart for a couple of bucks. Then head over to the fancy baking isle and get some parchment paper. The paper can be used multiple times and IMHO works better than the silicone mat.

I'll give it a try. I'm sure wifeo has some laying around somewhere.

Last night I decided I'm going to sell my pro1000 press. Anyof you guys interested? 3 turrets. I think 2 complete carriers. Few extra parts. I'll toss in a slightly rusty set of 45 dies as well.

If you dont mind saying publicly, how much are you asking? If you dont want to post publicly, feel free to shokt me a PM. I just sold mine a few months ago and bought a turret press. I dont need the volume of the progressive, but I have a few buddies that might be interested.

I was thinking $200 shipped. But if they're local maybe closer to $170. There's no powder drop though. 3 turrets and 4 shell plates. One carrier is complete but now that I think about it the second one might be missing the little springs to hold the cases in. I have a handful of extra parts for it as well.

I went to the range today and picked up a bunch of empty brass. I shot a bunch too but I picked up close to 3X what I shot. Lots of .45 ACP but it's mostly that damn SPP brass. Pretty soon I'll have enough of that to actually start loading it.

Cleaned about 1/3 or a little more of a 5 gallon bucket worth of 5.56 brass.

Need to figure out something to mount my press to so I can decap now.

Cut off a batch of 556 LC cases in prep to make them 300 Blk cases.

Used my new jig, and it makes the job really easy. I took it for a trial run when I first got it. But I figured out how to set it up properly tonight. Cut appx 200 cases in under 30 minutes, including setup time.

Should go much faster now that I've figured it out.
