OK, so she had an all-access key card but the door was ajar but people heard her banging against the door to open up/let her in but she thought it was her own apartment and people usually bang against the door of their own place to be let in...
Well when it is a booty bang on the DL, you might bang on the door. The magical witnesses were inside thinking damn is he banging dat white cracker too? Maybe the resistors are right just backwards?

News report today said the door was half open, why she drew her gun. Said she told the man to put his hands up. Instead he started walking toward her. That's when she fired her gun. Of course we won't hear the mans version because he's dead!

"Many residents told NBC 5 they chose to live at the complex because they believed it was safe. They said keyfobs are needed to access each floor but that doors do not automatically lock when closed."

    WTF?

I think they are referring to 2 different doors. "that doors do not automatically lock when closed." refers to the resident doors.

OP link has been updated with:
Editor's Note: A previous version of this story included an account of events told by a Dallas police source. Due to conflicting reports of the incident from various sources, we've removed that account from the story.
It seems like there's more than enough confusion to go around.

So they removed the account provided by Police, and are now going with the account provided by the defendant.....

    Has this been covered?

“Independent witnesses have already come forward to say that they heard this officer pounding on the door and demanding to be let in,” Lee Merritt, one of the attorneys representing the Jean family, told ABC News. “The contradictions begin to build from there.”

Yes I have not seen anything new since the warrant came out. Folks are pressing Dallas to release the 911 call, that might be the next evidence......
