Well, I think you insinuated that you voted for Hillary so it is not outside the realm of credibility for you to do something less than brilliant.Recent memory:
March this year.
Mossberg Shockwave with 3" magnum goose rounds.
Tore the web of my right hand pretty painfully.
Just a dumb-ass thing to do.
Lifetime memory:
.378 Weatherby.
1988.
Was shooting at a landfill near Lubbock way back as a Tech post-grad student.
Shouldered it with my back against my car bumper to steady myself.
Separated my right clavicle and hurt to brush my teeth or get dressed for 6 months!
Really really dumb-ass thing to do!!!
What gun have you shot, upon firing made you immediately put it back down?
For me its those .45/.410 bond arms derrengers. As if the jam-your-hand-in-a-blender recoil impusle wasn't bad enough, you only get 2 rounds in a heavy, and rather bulky gun. No thanks.

But how did the duck taste? :-)When I was 8 years old my drunk uncle handed me his 12g single barrel, 'long tom' and told me to shoot some ducks. I was not able to put the stock on my shoulder, so I put it under my arm. When I pulled the trigger the hammer hit me beside my nose and I was knocked on my ass. The next day both eyes were swelled shut and I had a gash where the hammer hit me.
I would say that is the most unpleasant gun that I have ever fired.
I look back on it and wonder why my dad didn't kick my drunk uncle's ass.

My hunting buddy bought his first .500 Nitro Express in Africa. He basically waited a year to retrieve it when we went on the next safari. Before leaving I said I think I would buy a mouth guard to wear the first time I shot it as I'd hate to break teeth while starting a safari.Capstick (Yes, I know the source is unreliable but he generally stole all his stories from people who were telling the truth.) wrote about a fellow in Africa who backed his shoulder up against a tree to steady his hold with his .460 Wby.
