But the ignorant BS spouted by most Glock Haters far exceeds the Glock Fanboy noise.

    ^^^
I'd say this is a crock. Glock lovers tout the Glock as much as a 1911 lovers tout their platform. I'm a H&K guy, so I don't have a dog in this pissing match.

LOL! 1911 lovers are sentimental and fans of Americana. Glock fans like simple designs that work. Both like customizing their gear.

But Haters just suck the life from any joy they can, regardless what they hate on, be it Glocks, 1911’s, whatever.

HK’s huh? Good for you, Bro.

I have bought a few Glocks through the years. I have tried to like them, and tried to force myself to carry them, but I can honestly say I have sold every Glock I ever bought and not missed it.

I have done the same thing with many, many glocks. I am keeping my Gen 4 G20, My 17M and I have a 19M on order. That will do me for glocks I am certain.

But Glocks are so good, just look how reliable they are, and basically only duty weapon ever made. /s

I like Springfields. Someone post SA memes that don't have anything to do with a non performance affecting feature like "grip zone".

One day, the Glock will be the new 1911
When was the last time you saw a Gen. 1 Glock 17 for sale? Glock makes great plastic guns but they don't offer a 100 year anything. In a century someone will leave it on the dash in the summer, and it will wilt.
I well remember guys with early Glocks that were useless because their plastic etched magazines would not stay inserted. The mag lock was metal and etched the plastic mags.
My own Kel Tec P3AT that bent itself into a Taurus Curve from me setting on it for a few years. In a pocket holster. They just don't stand the test of time.
ADDED: in 100 years new generations of shooters will still be shooting their 1911's

Well said! I do not have a 1911 or a Glock but Glock does make a nice gun that is reliable. Have shot my son’s and son in law’s Glocks and like them. If Glocks were so bad then why do we have more 3rd party accessories and parts for Glocks that any other handgun from what I can see. The answer is most likely many own them. Are they perfect? Nope, the usual upgrades on a Glock are sights and triggers. I have not had the pleasure of shooting a 1911 but have my son’s M&P .45 ACP and love it. One day I will try one out. I love the looks of 1911’s. Some of the most beautiful guns can be found among 1911’s

Nearly all of the 100 year old 1911's are in museums or are stored in somebodies gun safe, never to see the light of day.

And 100 years from now, nobody is going to care about the mass produced kimber or SAI 1911 that somebody has, because the truth is that those pistols have no more "soul" or history than your every day glock 19.

If it weren't for the AWB, the 1911 wouldn't be 1/10th as popular as it is today. Its also thanks to the AWB that you can somewhat commonly find new production 1911's that can feed JHP's.

Over the past couple of years 1911 sales have slown down quite a bit, even high end custom shops are starting to work on hi-powers, Berettas, and even, gasp, glocks. Shoot, like half the things that CDNN lists are 1911's or 1911 parts.

Also, buy better guns. Kel tec and taurus are not quality firearms

So a 1911 isn't a quality firearm, keltec isn't, Taurus isn't, Sig and Walther aren't, CZ are also bad. What's a quality firearm?
