I have a question. If Mit Romney was born in a foreign country, Mexico, how can he run for office as POTUS?

You sigh all you want to. Answer my question.

Go back and read the thread again. This has nothing to do with illegal aliens. You made the analogy of "Japs" American citizens actually, being imprisoned justifiably during WWII. I said that by your logic we should do the same for American citizens of Mexican descent (not illegal aliens). This was all done due to paranoia during WWII and not based on anything of substance. Again, spin it anyway you want.

And like I said, you're lying. I never said, as you inferred "by your logic" that we should imprison American citizens of Mexican descent. A blatant outright lie. You need to work for CNN.

    ...Americans should be safe abroad.

I understand that is aspirational, but reality is that no government can guarantee the safety of any person.

“Safety” is an individual responsibility, especially when making decisions where to place themselves. Sonora, where this particular event occurred is listed by DoS as Level 3 - Reconsider Travel due to crime.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/tr.../traveladvisories/mexico-travel-advisory.html

By ignoring this warning, the travelers intentionally placed themselves in an environment known to be unsafe.

I agree with that and that's why I will never step foot in Mexico again. I just don't think we can accept the fact that they did as an excuse to not act.
