The idea that Cotton is out of step with the NRA may be a wrong assumption.
Sometimes I wonder about the NRA. They actively fought two major extensions of gun rights in GA a few years ago when I lived there. Both passed to their chagrin. Lots of folks like me dropped our membership over it.
One was gun-in-car-storage at work, I forget the other. I do believe they backed repeal of the carry at a 'public gathering' which was a major win for gun carriers.
Best things about GA gun laws is there are very few prohibited places and signs carry no weight at all.
