Dammit! Makes me almost wish someone would mouth off!

Seriously, we are going to see if we can just deal with our own insurance company and let them sue the other driver's insurance for the money.

Plus side is, the car is paid for, so there isn't going to be dealing with any lenders over the amount of money.

I hope State Farm is not involved. My own issues earlier this year. Ended up filing through my insurance company and they are still fighting to get their money from State Farm. The Body shop talks trash about State Farm being one of the worst for paying or expecting preferred rates.

Never hurts to have an independent do a value determination. Likely they all use the same company that pulls from a database and simple descriptive things from the estimators observation to determine a value. It low balls on a serious level and many of the vehicles they list as a comparison don’t have the same features. Be ready to throw it back at them and stand your ground.

That was my first time making them, they weren't quite as big as I wanted but they turned out good. I've done bacon wrapped meatloaf with bacon in it, bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast, bacon mashed potatoes, bacon and chicken mac and cheese; let's just say I like bacon.

Christian’s Tailgate in Houston serves a bacon-bacon burger. It has bacon in the patty with bacon on top.

The Hatch Green Chile bacon burger from Whataburger is just incredible.

I’ll take bacon anyway I can get it.

They don’t send adjusters or estimators out into the field. They only use photos submitted by you on their app or by the body shop…even then they jack it all up.

State Farm dragged their feet for 3 months happily paying for a rent car. They only authorized about $13k for repairs that the body shop said was at least $18k and recommended the truck be totaled. My insurance company wrote up $24k in repairs and said it needs to be totaled. I filed a complaint to the State Department of Insurance on State Farms inactions and failure to do the required thing.

Keep those tricks handy…you may likely need them.

Canton has these things called Piggy shots.... I think its pulled pork wrapped in bacon that they fry, they are so good!!

They had told us the adjuster was suppose to inspect the car, and then would approve the rental car. Apparently, he never went to inspect the car in person as he said he would, but instead relied on photos to determine that the car was totaled. Body shop just did the estimate yesterday afternoon at my request. No estimate had even been made, and the body shop, never took or sent any pictures of the car to any adjuster or insurance company.

What it boils down to, are conflicting stories IF we happen to be able to get someone from the other driver's insurance agent to answer the phone when we call.

I will have to get one whenever my boss and I go on delivery; usually we stop at Whataburger because neither one of our spouses like Whataburger.

My grandmother thought bacon was another seasoning. She always cooked the bacon before cooking the eggs. She used salt pork to season pinto beans and black-eyed peas. She always kept a coffee can on the stove with filtered bacon drippings to cook with. Especially anything that was fried.

I thought all that was standard practice. Are there really people that don't do that? Besides yankees?

I’m not a fan of the mustard burger, thus I wasn’t a fan of Whataburger for several years. Then my wife told me a few years ago that I was ordering wrong. All I needed to do was have them add mayonnaise to the burger in addition to the mustard. That was all it took for me to become a fan.

The hatch burger doesn’t come with mustard, only mayonnaise.
