I have some Texas roots (also recently admitted to TX bar last summer) but never visited the state before, unless you count a quick drive through El Paso on the way to Carlsbad Caverns, some years ago.

Will be making our first trip to Texas later this month. Attending a Jeep Jamboree at Palo Duro, and will drive around the state as much as time permits.

I'm a longtime 2A activist here in CA. I've trained actively and borne arms for over twenty years, and have taught concealed carry almost that long, although I'm also a big proponent of open carry.

Texans are the best people on the planet. (But I like my hillside ocean view and running on the beach!)
    Sounds like a fed.

Most likely, I am more conservative than anyone else on this board.

A constitutional conservative, except I want 8A, 16A, and 17A repealed. Especially 8A. And sometimes I have doubts about 19A but will revisit that after the civil war, if that happens. (I have no problem with my wife and daughter voting, they are well-trained in rifle and pistol; it's all of YOUR wives and daughters I'm worried about.)

And yes, we are all supporting Trump even though my wife is Ukrainian and Trump has to say some not so great things about Ukraine to maintain support during the primary among MAGA which is great on every issue except (unfortunately for us) terribly misinformed on Ukraine due to provably false Russian propaganda spread among Ukraine-ignorant qtards beginning early Feb 2022. If you look at Trump's actions rather than his words (purposely chaotic for negotiation) his actions have been far better for Ukraine than those of any Dem; that is why we support him. But he must get the nomination, so he says things like Ukraine should give up territory, &c.

Last person to post that statement was a Kali. I cannot understand why living in Kali forces you to say, or think, something that ignorant. What part of your brain atrophies, from left coast exposure, which allows you to believe that? Is it the pink crocs?

Not personally but I've known of him for years and his name came up on a zoom meeting I had a couple days ago with a San Antonio firm I deal with.

I did NFA trusts for a time, working first with David Goldman of Florida and then with WealthCounsel's gundocx platform, before I realized that guns should not (generally) be held in trust in CA. For three years I warned about that, but many colleagues continued to put guns in trusts.

Then in 2019 Sacradimento actually did something good for a change and fixed the issues I was concerned about, or most of them.

But I haven't done NFA trusts in quite awhile as they don't make sense anymore (in CA), due to 41F and other issues. And cozying up to the ATF was never my idea of a smart estate plan.

What I do is different. That's about all I can say on that.
That's kinda what I was alluding to. I knew California had to be insanely difficult for NFA items.
