Unfortunately we have now way of knowing for sure if anyone was carrying or not, pretty sure somebody that might have been isn't going to come forward and say I had my concealed weapon but my first thought was to hit the ground and get to safety. We'll never know for sure if the outcome would have been different or not we only have our opinions. It is a terrible situation no denying that but I am very interested to hear if they find a motive, doesn't matter what tools a murderer uses fact is he's still a murderer.

I saw that and thought the same thing. It's funny that someone will rant about the media putting a certain spin on a tragedy and then throw in something like 'christian mythology' and not see the hypocrisy. Although I believe he was fully aware of what he was doing.

When I heard they brought him in alive my immediate thought was that he had some kind of political agenda he wanted to "tell the world about" surrounding all of this or something along those lines. Why go through with the whole court process and all of that otherwise? A man without a purpose would have just shot themselves rather than being taken into custody, I would imagine. Then again, I'm not crazy or a criminal psychologist, so what do I know?

One of the main reasons I wanted to be able to carry is because of movie theaters. I've always felt like a sitting duck if someone were to do what this guy did - not to that extent that he did though. I'm no way saying I'd have taken the guy out or even attempted it in that type of situation, but long question short here.... think they'll crack down over the weekend?

Cinemark theaters have some signage posted along the lines of not allowing firearms, but none of them being the proper signage.

As far as other theaters "cracking down" over the weekend? No...something like that would most likely require a change in corporate policy as well as adding the proper signage to all locations. I don't foresee this happening that quickly and hopefully not at all. Its not like this guy was concealing anything or legally carrying...then again, these people don't like rationally.

Something tells me that if there was a sign on the door of that theater that said "no guns", That the shooter would of turned around and said "maybe I won't do this". Nuts are nuts and there is no law that will ever stop nuts from getting guns.
