Well, now I'm thinking a corn side dish. I haven't made this as envisioned, so, I was going to pick up some whole corn......What the Feldman? $.69 an ear at Albertsons?

Anyway , most likely , I will still be bringing a corn side dish, but I wasn't going to pay that to run a test batch to make sure the final product was going to be up to snuff.

It'll be deviled eggs and corn ( subject to change ) and maybe .....some ribs. That got me to thinking .....another experimental try, but it could work.

And of course , RATa touiile....JK.

I can't eat corn. Screws me up pretty bad. I'm sure there will be lots of other foods I can eat, though

Yep. I don't mind the running gear, just don't care for the tire.

BUT!!! Have you ever tried them?

That's what gets me, how can you say you don't like something you've never tried? Took me a LOOOOONG time to eat a snail, but they're pretty darn good.

I mean, this isn't raw nightcrawlers, it's chicken?????

While in Japan I saw some Japanese eating live octopus, I can't say what live octopus tastes like, but I'm going to take a pass on that too.

Any other side dish you would like? I aim to please, and I really am willing to deliver.

Nevermind, I 'll just bring a Snickers....JK, LUV ya, lemme know. I'm not bullshitting when I say I can cook, or bring smaller portions to cater to individual taste.

I think I draw a line there, too. I hear they're kinda chewy.

OTOH, have you ever seen a proper chef pull a live eel from a tank, kill it, gut it, butcher it, prep the portions, and serve it to you so fresh that the meat is still quivering when you place in your mouth?

Neither have I but I've heard people wax ecstatic over the experience.

    Your too kind.
There will be plenty of things to choose from I think.

I've had octopus and I can't say I'm proud of myself. They are very very fishy in taste and like chewing fat on a steak.

I did try cooked octopus while in Japan, and I too didn't care for the taste or chewiness either. I have tried many things and some I thought I wouldn't like and did, while other things turned out just as bad or worse than I had thought it would taste.

I've never had raw octopus. I kinda like canned, but not crazy about it. 2 things about canned, they're baby octopi, and they're a bit more tender being canned.

Still, pretty much bland beef fat in taste, and still somewhat chewy. Without teeth, I don't see gnawing on squirming octopi in my immediate future.
