Thank-you for posting this info! I will be purchasing one for myself and my husband! We have been meaning to join for awhile. The tax refund came just in time!

Yep,I bought my son a Life Membership when he was 16. Upgraded it to Endowment when he turned 18. Both times were at these special prices.

I received an offer about a month ago to upgrade mine to Endowment for $250. Have until March 2 to decide.

Went ahead and upgraded to Endowment Life Member. Right thing to do.

I haven't heard anything from the NRA since I upgraded to life, so I decided to log in and check it. This what I saw:

    I sent them the following:
"My life membership status is "expired". To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to send an email from beyond the grave, so you may infer that I have not yet expired. Can you please explain why my status reports as such?"

    Eagerly awaiting their response

You're a turd. :-) Hope the NRA finds you are still among the living.

Oops. See OP for request of no bashing the NRA. Yeah, they are not perfect. Neither are we.

This is a great deal on a NRA life membership. I paid $500 for mine. I have a friend who paid $750 for a life membership several years before I became a life member. I was saving money for my next gun purchase and sent it to the NRA instead. I've never regretted it.

Let me know if I can help anyone take the plunge.

When we call do they ask for Glockster's name (if so, sorry I don't know it) or just his member number? Planning to call and get this done this afternoon.

My (or any Life member) NRA number is all that is needed. If that turns out not to be true, feel free to PM/email me.

Best hurry before you miss it. :-)

Okay, just got off the phone with them - easy as pie! I'm now a new life member - packet is supposed to arrive in 3-4 weeks. Thanks Acera and Glockster for providing the info for this.

Anyone else interested in this great deal you still have a few hours left!!
