    deemus,

I understand about your comments on TX, as I too was born here. - Fwiw, I liked most everything about the places that I was stationed in the Army in CA/SA except there's NO decent BBQ, TX-style anyway. & what passes for Tex-Mex food is AWFUL.
(Otoh, there are LOTS of places that serve a "lomo", which is about a pound of tender, charcoal broiled, 3" thick filet mignon, served with French fries, a salad and a local beer for 4-6 bucks.)

In one of the countries, a fellow, who was new to the unit/area, asked me, "Where can you get decent Tex-Mex down here?"

My answer was, "At my house or you're out of luck."

    yours, satx

    "Seasteading"
Saw this on Tom Woods today about this odd topic. I find it very interesting, but scary. Seems like there's lots of wilderness left on land if you're willing to get there... If your homestead house falls down you might be cold and wet one night before you can erect an emergency structure. If your seastead house falls down you drown :p
