You could go wait in line, and buy ammo if you choose to. You make choices to do other things instead. Big deal, so do I.
How much mark up is too much? Who gets to decide? Do you want a comrade to set prices and "allowable" profits? No one is forced to buy ammo. Find it cheaper or do the work (value addition) to get it.
Now to be fair, I dont know of any New Yorkers at the Alamo, but I sure as hell know a lot of folks there that were not from Texas. Many of the best Texans weren't from Texas... you would do well to remember that.

No shortage of words.
I would like to add Mr. Limbaugh is from New York as well...To the obnoxious person who said I am buying all the ammo at Academy Sports, let me just say this - I buy what I can within their limit of 3 boxes; which has to be split between 5.56 mm, 7.62x39 mm., 9mm and whatever is the other on or two. For instance today I bought two boxes of 20 rounds of 5.56 M855 and one box of soft point brass cased Winchester 7.62x39 mm ammo. Please e explain to me how that is buying all their ammo? You cannot and thus you are a lying sack of balderdash. You saying so is not only preposterous, it demonstrates you are a totally a clueless guy who makes up absolute BS to defame others just because you do not like New Yorkers who have relocated to TX. Is that what you like in your Texas - prejudice based on only your incorrect concept of another person?
As for me buying what I please, I do so as I please because it is there for anyone to purchase and I am one of those called "anyone". Get it - anyone can do it, that others do not do it, well what can I say but too bad for them. It is not like I am cleaning off the shelves even though you imply - heck you outright said - I am buying it all. That was a bold faced lie bit you have done the same before. Yes, I am saying you just lied and it is apparently typical of you when you disagree with someone else as far as I can see. I am always available to discuss that in person if you so desire. No that is not some sort of weakly veiled challenge to a fight as I have seen Hoji, the self appointed magnificent, do to others. Minet is a real challenge to get together - you and me - and discuss the issues intelligently without name calling and per-disposed ideas about what is right and what is wrong. Are you up for that, if so, let's get together - just you and I - and let's do a video/audio record session between the both of us - where we intelligently discuss these issues and then we post it on this forum for all to see.
Guess what I am confident in my position. Why? Because me buying what I want, with my honestly earned money, while not preventing anyone else from exercising their right to buy the same with their honestly earned money, is essentially the way of the economy of the United States of America includingyourTexas as opposed to the economies of Red China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela. Apparently, based upon your vehement opposition to me and what I choose to buy and sell - at a price with which you seemingly disagree - you would prefer that Texas become essentially socialist to your satisfaction as to what constitutes a fair and equal distribution of goods and wealth. I totally disagree with that but tha has little to nothing with me being a former New Yorker and all to do with me believing in the free market economy which totally goes again the economy that you seem to uphold and that Karl Marx definitely favored.
In other words, I believe the free market necessarily excludes YOUR Texas. Your arrogance to call it your Texas is absolutely mind boggling but not unique since Hoji calls it the same. You evidently oppose the free market, or is it just you are opposed to folks who were born in NY from participating in the free market because of your own predisposition (aka: prejudiced against anyone from NY (regardless of political or economic standing)? If I had to guess, I would guess you are a Bernie Sanders supporter 100% or maybe even an AOC supporter 150%. Why? Because it is apparent you are so against me participating in the free market but only because I came from NY. The truth is, I am fully am against opposition to the free market, I am against communism, I am against socialism, I am again racism, I am against hypocrisy in politics, and I am against bigots ( a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices ) like you who blatantly preach hatred of others without any real justification. As usual, with a guy like you, you make wordy claims with little to no facts to support them. As a matter of fact, it is not me but you who obviously exhibits what you in essence say is New Yorking Texas. You are the typical ultra NY type liberal, a NY type uber leftist, a NY control freak (all without ever having to live within NY) who wants to stunt the free market and control what everyone else does to suit your liking. You are, at least in my opinion and based upon your terrible previous control freak type posits, a leftist plain and simple, there can be no factual and honest denying it even if you do not realize you are towing the leftist baner.
Since you have spouted off just like an absolute liberal left winger - wanting to control me and what I purchase in the free market - I am going to do something for you that is totally befitting as I see t (mods, cit me off if you disagrees). Let me add, I am also going to do it because you seemingly actually prefer communism and socialism in opposition to the ability to make and or sell via the free market. Thus, in your ignorance of what is the free market, you oppose me or anyone (at least those of us from NY) who are exercising our rights to participate in that very same free market at our discretion. This is not rhetoric on my part, this is actually supported 100% buy what you wrote as I see it.
So, what I am going to do, which probably will piss you off no end, is to post (just for you and yours) more about my purchases and any sales I make. I'll truly enjoy doing that! I am not talking about enjoying buying or selling; although, yes I enjoy the liberty to do so under our free economy but what I enjoy most of all is pissing off absolute hypocrites like you who say they support the American way of doing things then bash people who do it the American way simply because it pisses them off at the moment because at that moment you do not like the particular thing they are doing. You and others like you, a few here on this forum, truly are nothing more than absolute hypocrites who think Texas belongs to their anti-American socialist dogma. It is typical of leftists to do exactly what yo are dong, to curse those who do it the American way and say those folks who do it that way are wrong while you claim to be in the right. You sound exactly lie Schumer, Pelosi, Boxer, Obama, Biden as to make me want to puke. I have watched it all my life, that is self-opinionated scum like you claim that the American way is your way or nothing at all with total disregard for the truth. I ahbe seen it more than ever throughout the presidency of Donald trump - by the way a New Yorker - who has done more absolute good for this cointry than any Texan in memory; yet, guys like you hate all New Yorker's regardless of political or economic affiliation and try to bad mouth us while hiding your own anti-American idealism when t obvious you refer socsoalism. How dare you question or imply that I am in actuality anything but an American Patriot and free market practitioner.
Gotcha covered.Where’s Cliffs notes when ya need em ?
No there was not a shortage. That is because there is no shortage of facts I can use to give evidence of what I said on my side as opposed to a guy who just calls me a scalper or said I have cheesy replies (or whatever) with no clue or a guy who says I am New Yorking TX when he acts like more of the stereo typical NY'er than most New Yorkers. Both evidently support socialism and communism by way of them opposing the capitalist free market. I do not care a bit if they disagree with me, if they do not like what I do, if they oppose what I do or do not like me so long as it is done respectfully. I did not begin to insult them - they attacked me and insulted me. There was no reason for either of those two to immediatley start calling me names. Got me going a long time with my response, yes it did - but as I said, I invite the debate with the FACTS they can present not with innuendo, lies, balderdash and name calling as their first resorts. I also like making their heads explode and being verbose while using facts and sense is one way to do it in the face of the lie(s) of at least one of them.No shortage of words.
Looked at it again, all I can say is besides me being pissed off at being pissed on, that rant was way too long even for me; it must have been the steroids I've been taking. Happy just finished the prescription. No shortage of words.
I've learned a few things over the years, a couple that apply here.
1. People spending an uncomfortably long time justifying their position, are generally quite full of it.
2. People who use rules and laws to justify their actions, don't understand respect.
Just because something fits within the rules or is legal, doesn't mean it's right to do.
It's like going to the store, and learning have a single Xbox left on the shelf. They're really hard to get, and always out of stock. You hear a kid excitedly heading down the aisle to pick it up, proudly talking to his Dad about working all summer to earn enough to buy it. Glenn logic says even though you didn't really want it, you were there to buy rainbow socks, but you buy that sucker anyway and then offer sell it to them in the parking lot. At a profit, of course, because hey, it's legal!
Yes, Glenn, it's legal. It's also a dick move. And you're that guy.
Rainbow socks, now that’s funny.rainbow socks
They support free speech tooNo there was not a shortage. Its more like you see several on the shelf, buy one and ebay it and make some money. Just like target did whe they bought it from their supplier and microsoft did when they built it.
There is no ammo shortage. There is just high demand and short sighted buyers are driving up the price.

No, it's more like you and all your buddies buy them all and Ebay them for a profit.
They aren't leaving ammo for the next guy, they're ganging up and buying it all to protect their little side business.
I assume by your responses you must be one of them.
Not illegal and shouldn't be anyways, just a dick move to profit off your own teammates.
Nope, Other than getting 600rnds to pass on to a buddy at cost, I keep and use all the ammo I buy. If I happen upon ammo, I'll buy it, but I planned ahead and had a nice stockpile. No, it's more like you and all your buddies buy them all and Ebay them for a profit.
