been out here for a few weeks. Looking to meet up with like-minded people!

So far I really like it here.

I'm not the stereotypical gun owner. I drive a subaru, eat granola, shop at whole foods and listen to mumford and sons, but i will say, i am a well trained and armed subaru driving, granola eating, whole foods shopping individual. No need to drive a huge pickup truck or anything.

Found GT Distributors through a friend out here. Got some ammo there last weekend.

Drove past "REDs" in "p-ville"...yeah im not going in there. i hate indoor ranges.

No one shoots in the rain here? sheesh!

Wait a coupla weeks. You'll be WET at those outdoor ranges...and it won't be from the rain!!!
From a Volvo driving, ice cream/BBQ eating, Sprouts shopping, REI member who likes BOTH GT and Red's :) .

Welcome to the north side of 'Austin'...where the highways work and actually connect to something!!!

We welcome all members here that actually like guns and want to learn more and participate.

I personally don't care what anybody eats or drives. I am here for the gun talk and like to learn and help as much as possible.

We can't all be pickup driving, BBQ eating, right wing extremist Rednecks. What fun would that be?

    Welcome to Texas.
I'm a BBQ eating, truck driving beer loving whole foods shopping all natural baby product buying father scared of giving his baby lead poisoning from the ammo and gun cleaners. Perhaps the next meet should be at a farmers market, lol.

The REI is right up the road from where I work. I plan to visit there in a week or so. My friends turned me onto central market. I can spend a lot of $ in there. dear Lord!

Sprouts is another place i gotta check out. I plan to ride the brushy creek trail up there tomorrow. Anyone wanna join me?

I'm from Vegas and was often the only guy at the club mod july in the 115 desert. I'd be out in the rain shooting now if i didn't have other things to do.

Lone Star Gun Range near Lockhart.

    They are A-OK with hippies.

No hippie. I like to shoot prone, draw from holster, fire from cover and do other realistic training...in hot, cold, mud, dirt, snow so i am told Best of the West is the best place to go.

    Glad to have you here!

Sprouts is pretty decent. Been awhile but, I used to shop there. If you get on their email list, they have a coupon for free stuff nearly every month it seems. ;) They have a good selection of healthy, all organic, naturally-raised stuff there.

Good to know! thanks! I was gunna ride the brushy creek trail today, but my body is telling me to take a day off. One thing that kills me about Central Market are the prices. the produce area is the most amazing ive ever seen, but the prices are jaw dropping. I don't mind paying for their fresh made veggie/carrot juice as my juicer is way back in Vegas.

    Bunch o leftys lol.

Nice, what kinda subby? My "gun friends" in Vegas say i drive a lesbian car, or a hippy mobile. It has gained the nickname "Granola Burner" which i find kinda funny. They make fun of it until they see how capable it is off-road.

Aaaah, a fellow vegetarian, too! NICE! I am feeling more at home here, now. This area was rated one of the best "Vegan" friendly places in the country. That health choice helped me lose about 70 pounds!

I have an STi (hatchback). It'll haul ass and the grocerys in the rain/snow/dirt/whatever.

I was vegetarian for a few years, but then I decided I like BBQ, steaks, and bacon and gyros too much to stay that way. Austin is a very good place to live if you are a veggie. It's been I while since I was there, but Veggie Heaven on the drag (Guadalupe) across from UT is awesome, Mother's Cafe on Duval, Madras Pavillion @ Burnet and 183 (southern indian -their mysore dosas are killer), Frank and Angie's Pizza, Thai Kitchen on Guadalupe (if it's still there), Mr. Natural - for good mexican veg) are all great places I used to go. But just about every place else that has good food also has something good for veggies.
