A .410 Mossberg pump is my go-to shotgun for HD. Federal Handgun 000Buck FTW.A .410 would most likely be adequate in 90%+ homes in the US to stop a threat.
Dont think I would want to take a load of birdshot in the face at 15 yards to test that hypothesis..lol I killed a Coyote about 40 yards off with #9 low brass skeet loads once upon a time..full choke gun... in addition to half a flock of winter turkeys on the same trip. 40 yard danger zone will work for me. Now depending on how far off are the hypothetical bad guys are threatening harm..a person might want to keep a scope sighted 7mm mag in reserve for worse case scenarios. For booger hunting in a house I much rather have a pistol..shotgun a little bulky for close quarters work. Back to birdshot know an old cop from Odessa..who said they always loaded up with birdshot when chasing burglars out of metal buidlings...of which Odessa has a bunch. That keep the owner from griping about shooting holes in the walls. lol. Found this link on the topic. Now my high dollar Maverick 88 which sits up near the front door...has #4 ss birdshot come out the first few since my brother gave me a bunch free when he gave up duck and pheasant hunting out in Sunny CA a few years back..then the 00 buck comes next. However a person wants to do it works for me. Heres a couple of the Turkeys. I coulda held up more but only got two hands. Did not bother to take a pic of the poor old coyote.Powder burn range, sure.
What if they're 15 yds away with a gun themselves?
Plenty of life left to ventilate you....
Is this stuff real? If so, I gotta play with a box or twoI changed my mind, I am swapping out my 00 buck for Dragon's Breath!

So you’re saying we can kill it with fire now?

'Have any acquaintances that hand load shotgun shells? If so, and you can work a decent deal, you can get exactly what you want loaded, or a few different loads and see what you prefer. Just a thought.no, not yet.
