Spoke with my branch manager today. I'm on the service side of elevator maintenance. We have a bunch of hotels and office buildings asking for reductions is billing for a month or 2. Which will result in a reduction in hours to avoid layoffs.

I'll be fine as long as this nonsense dosent go months. But I hate to see saving accounts go like my 401k.

To be honest I work too many hours anyways, between the on call, staying late, coming in early. I will make good of the time at home with my kids......if it even happens.

Bell and Coryell counties start at midnight monday. Shelter in place. Hiking, cycling, walking, running and similar outdoors activities are approved with proper social distancing.
I guess that means I can go to the gun club and shoot because we can maintain the 6ft rule.

My company had some layoffs and furloughs. I was on the fortunate end to have a 20% salary reduction which starts on this half of the pay period. That means one week at full pay and one week at reduced pay. Looking at what the difference in income that will be and how to bridge the gap. We live within our means, but do still have monthly payments to make as well as giving. Always dislike looking at the possibility of reducing giving.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm a member at a small gun club. Any furlough time and I'll be starting my day there.

The reduced federal pickpocketing may make it less noticeable.

I hope everyone is sending emails to their senators, the governor, their county commissioners, the WH.

If enough of us do so, they might fear for their re-election.

Wife and her girlfriend own a little restaurant. They have been doing the take out thing but today they decided just to shutter the thing. Even with no employees, just them and family, its not paying the light bill. I'm almost a shut-in anyway so sheltering in place is no big deal to me. I really thought after they made their first year that they were going to beat the odds, but the Socialist shite Heads seem to have won the fight. I doubt they will reopen.

Your wife and girlfriend are business partners? How do you pull that off? My wife hates my girlfriend.
