Don't think we had tv or CNN then.I'll ask an amateur question. If Spanish Flu was H1N1, why did we (globally) not freak out and lock the world down in 2009 like we did for China Flu in 2020?

Something we agree on.
In my county 341 Covid deaths (at least that's what health department says), one was fully vaccinated. If that's true it is an eye opener.
Amateur question #2. If Spanish Flu is not racist, why is China Flu?
The newspapers and corporate tv news were calling it "Wuhan Flu" and "China Flu" until they all decided to attack Trump with racism. It's pure politics.Covid 19 was real. How it was treated was pure politics.
It never was about it being racist because of the name. That again, was just more politics being played.
In some ways, I think it was a test, and the test is still being carried out. To see how far they could push the envelope to infringe and restrict people's rights and freedoms and get away with it.
These are Dead Wrong, Big Pharma, Big Med talking points. Any practitioner who believes this will be on the wrong side of history as their patient body counts continue to mount. You are expressing your lack of understanding of the treatment of COVID-19. There are no great treatments. Dexamethasone, which is cheap and generic, and oxygen has the best evidence. Remdesivir, Tocilizimab, the monoclonal antibodies are all weak sauce. Vitamin C, Azithromycin, zinc, HQC, ivermectin, convalescent plasma have not shown consistent (or in cases any) benefit.
Responding to post 397. I happen to think that when there are 341 deaths from covid and only 1 was vaccinated that that is an eye opener. Do you think that the 340 citizens that have met their maker would have decided that the vaccine was worth taking if they could do it over? Side effects or not? Thanks. Maybe I missed it, but I’m curious why you find this an eye opemer.

I didn't ask you to analyze the demographics, I just asked if you could look into the future and knew that you would be one of those to die from covid would you have taken the vaccine? Risks and all? Simple question isn't it? What do you think the 340 that died in Wichita County would have said?I'd like to see the demographics of those who died before jumping to conclusions about whether making speculations of whether they might, or might not have taken the vaccine if offered.

Well I did take the vaccine, have not had those side effects, have lost 340 of my fellow citizens un-vaccinated and 1 vaccinated. Life is a gamble but you have to know the odds. In your scenario I said you would die from Covid un-vaccinated with very small odds of being in a serious degraded condition. Minuscule odds vs death. Play the odds.No. I still would not have gotten the vaccine.
Here's a question for you. Would you have taken the vaccine under that same scenario, but adding if the side-effects were worse from the cure, than the disease?
As in, instead of being dead, you get to live the rest of your life in a very serious degraded condition with other health complications?
I can hobble around pretty good but only if I am still alive. If you knew your left leg was going to fall off 3 years from now, due to a vaccine reaction.
Would you still get vaccinated?
Stop it! Unless you have immutable proof those people wouldn't have died if they had taken the vaccine, you have no right to shame people into getting something they don't want. using questions like your last post is the same type of questions they were using against people that didn't wear masks.Well I did take the vaccine, have not had those side effects, have lost 340 of my fellow citizens un-vaccinated and 1 vaccinated. Really no different than any vaccine we take, some small number will have serious problems with the vaccine or even death. You play the odds. Are you better with a seat belt on in a car wreck or off? You play the odds. Do you love Harleys? You play the odds. Are you a pilot like I am, you play the odds.
Seriously, if those 340 that died were alive today, knew that they were going to die, who in their right mind would not get vaccinated even if it were only 10% effective? 100% you will die, extremely small risk of bad side effects vs being alive and healthy. If you would still say no vaccine than Darwin was right.
Your numbers are always off. Mathematically challenged. And a 99.96% chance you'll be alive and whole in 3 years.
Without masks or vaccines.
