Same thing with my daughter (she was 3) when I had shaved off my mustache. Didn't shave it off again until she was a teen.

Van Dyke....kept short and thick. Too many scuffles in my life to risk having an extra grab-handle.

It was long, all the way down to my belt buckle. It was definitely "full ZZ Top" length. When I doubled it up and tucked it inside my t-shirt, though, it looked normal. Actually, I think it looked pretty good; judge for yourself from the avatar picture. But when it was out front, it was a thin, scraggly, sad mess.

All that may be... but Mrs @Lead Belly and I think you look younger and down right handsome clean shaven.

The Scout Rifle is NOT a sniper rifle. It's a general-purpose carbine in the vein of the Winchester 94 or Enfield Jungle Carbine. You can even make the case that the 16" AR-15 carbine with LVPO or dot has supplanted it with modern ammo. But calling it a sniper rifle is like calling my F150 a race car.....

....Garand DUMB is more fitting.....
