It's getting bad around here, with all the liberals moving in from CA. I noticed a Beto sign on my street the other day. One is too many.

My house is now bracketed by Beto signs.
Keep expecting to hear some liberal holler "drop 50, fire for effect".

Not nearly as good as the ones up east, IMO.
There used to be a joke when I was a kid living in the Bahamas:

What do the poor people eat in the Bahamas?

    Lobster.

(BTW, although a bit different in taste from New England lobster, Spiny Lobster is actually quite good.)

I have had many of both. That is how I know there is a difference.

    Here
Correct answer is a round tub of melted butter.

    You must be from Floriduh.

    Floriduh?

Don't you know by now that .50 BMG is my standard answer to that question? But your round sounds better.

BTW, I am a native Texan. I still live on what is left of the family farm.

Now, I can't speak for the 60's, I wasn't born until '70. But I can tell you that in the last 20 years the demographics have really changed from what it was even 30 years ago.

    Ain’t that the troof.
30 years ago CA was a solidly conservative state.

People moving is not what is depressing. What is is that they leave because of taxes and things in california for a "better state". The thing is they bring their voting patterns with them and then wonder how they screw states up. Colorado and Virginia are the latest examples. Liberals have their eye on North Carolina and Georgia. Delaware, and Maryland already fell and Florida really has not had a southern character for some time.

Everything you brought up is why some feel it’s depressing.

In the last couple of years, CA transplants began to exceed the number of native births.

    That’s never a good thing.
