    People call and report suspicious behavior all the time. Some guy trying all the door handles in a parking lot? You bet people would call.

    We are not talking about a guy walking around trying door handles. A store employee asking for ID before you handle a federally regulated weapon and walking aroung a parking lot trying doorknobs are similar in your mind?

    Please.

    I just looked at a Taurus 1911 and a Mossberg 12 at Academy in South Austin. They did not ask for ID. That said, they are pretty hit miss on gun and ammo prices. I normally just go there for fishing and other sports stuff.
