I’m gonna keep my Colorado diesel going as long as I can and be the guy on the road where a 10 second zero to sixty pisses people off!

I'm considering an electric vehicle, though it's not a consequence of my greenness.

It's almost embarrassing to admit that my household has six vehicles for 2 drivers so I resemble your comment.

I’ll be looking for a backup rig. Something cheap. I mean I do drive a Chevy so...but the most we had was three rigs. Always a good idea to have a plan for not missing work.

    Multiple incompatible systems.
    Yep, that's a problem.
We are still a long way off from when a electric car is a true touring vehicle.
    But I don't think it's that big a problem.

If I were alone in the world I think I'd order a Rivian truck. When it was delivered I'd try to hit every GSSF match in every free state in the following calendar year. That would require criss-crossing the entire country at least 20 times. I've studied the charging station maps and it's possible though not always convenient.

It would certainly make for an interesting and potentially monetizeable social media experiment. :)

No, not zero emissions. Where does the electricity come from to charge them? It ain't all wind power.
Keep in mind that it's not all wind and solar. We moved less than a year ago from the PNW and much of our electricity came from hydro sources. And it was nice and cheap, too. We were paying .07/kWh last time I checked, although there was a hike or two since then.

I'd just put a roof rack on top of my EV, then put a generator on it.
    I saw you!

Which is funny, because the 9.8 seconds 0-60 in my 1987 VW Scirocco was considered FAST back in the day.

Rigs are becoming more powerful, faster, with more capacity, ect. At some point I don’t care anymore.

I’m starting to look at older rigs again. Keep it simple.
