Funny how I never thought this forum was broken and needed to be fixed.
.....what other changes have I missed.
entire pages of complaining and whining.
Entire pages of complaining and whining.
SO nothing has changed???
I hope Alan sees whats become of this site, and starts another that we can join.
Usually, when a company buys out another company, the man (or woman) in charge isn't allowed to run another company like it for a certain amount of time. I think with this situation, he was saying he can't make another gun forum for 3 years. I'd have to go back and check.
I don't know nuttin' about "usually" or "SOP" on non-compete clauses but if I'm the seller and someone wants me to sign it, I damn well better get paid HANDSOMELY or it ain't happnin'!

He was paid well enough to sign on the dotted line. I wish him nothing but the best.
As for all the new changes, I keep seeing the new ownership posting up comments and offering compromises and wanting to work things out. They also seem willing to add items to the forum that didn't exist or had problems before. I don't mind seeing a few asterisks now and then instead of words. Not really sure where the naked ladies were on here (too bad), but if I really want to see any, I bet I can find plenty of pictures on the www.
I only wish our elected officials seemed as willing to listen, respond, and act according to the public will as these guys seem to be trying to.
point set match. It's the members who make up a site. The only way the site changes is if we have a mass exodus. Having new owners won't change this place THAT much.
