In what condition do you carry your 1911 in??

I lived in Houston and now live south of Houston. I worked at a PD inside Houston city limits for a number of years, carried my Combat Commander in Condition 1 always. I later moved to a sheriff's office south of Houston and carried both a Series 70 and 80 (without the lawyer lock) in Condition 1. In all those years, I never had anyone comment on how the gun was carried.

Mine is always in condition 1. Carrying (not often now), in truck, or at home in nightstand. In safe, condition 4.

I carry mine with a round in the chamber, clocked, safety off, finger on the trigger with the slack taken up, front sight scanning for a possible threat. duh.
