This....Welcome to the forum!
Then why bother carrying it if you're not going to load it? It's safe on Condition 2.as a non law enforcement person, I carried my 1911 in condition 2, in Vietnam. The holster had the flap cut off it, and a snap strap added. The Springfield XD-45, When I carry it, is in condition 3. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.
Condition 3 – The chamber is empty and hammer is down with a charged magazine in the gun. I carry 10 rounds in the magazine, and can get a round into the chamber, ready to fire, in less than a second. I am not a big fan of semi autos, but carry one now and then. I have a Ruger .357 wheel gun that is my primary carry. I just like revolvers. I guess everyone has there preferences. The Springfield I have is the only semi auto I own, and it is chambered in 45GAP. It's an unpopular cartridge, but I like it. I guess I'm just different that way. I like oddball guns. I responded to the post about the springfield because it's close to a 1911.Then why bother carrying it if you're not going to load it? It's safe on Condition 2.

To answer your first question - NO - I assume you know what a transfer bar is. Question 2 - NO - I have two hands, and know how to use them. Look guy, everybody has their quirks. I have trust issues where semi autos are concerned, especially their safeties. Lets just let it go at that. OK?Do you carry your revolver on an empty chamber? Can you get that semi ready to fire with one hand?
CONDITION 1. Just like the picture says. View attachment 137320
That picture says “ESCORT”

Sounds like you need a different gun. Might I suggest the Beretta 92, S&W 3rd Generation series, or Ruger P-series pistols? Their hammer block safeties, which work similar to the transfer-bar safety on your revolver, may give you confidence in Condition 2 carry. To answer your first question - NO - I assume you know what a transfer bar is. I will look them up. Being left handed, it's sometimes hard to find a good handgun that is ambidextrous. THANKSSounds like you need a different gun.
