You mean the people who are here illegally sending the money they earn illegally back to their country tax free. They are the problem. They are the initial cause of this. They can bring their families and abuse our healthcare system tax free. Make them pay like the rest of us and they either won't come or they will pay their share. And the same banks that have already been found guilty of crimes such as aiding in money laundering for the cartels are the best means of implementing this policy?
I'd be more worried about this sort of thing being used against citizens trying to get the hell out of dodge when this country collapses.
Anyways, isn't the real problem the families that are going to be a drain on our educational, medical, and welfare systems, as well as the criminals and our criminal justice system, not the people who are actually working and sending money back.
As far as the banks, if we have laws they should follow them and the gov should enforce them. As long as it is profitable for both entities it works for me. If the banks abuse the system for profit and send money to the cartels they should be held responsible and put in local jails. Forget fed prisons- they aren't capable of handling prisons anyway.
