    Latest info from the officer in question is he thought the shooter was outside and that's why he didn't enter.

    I guess we just wait for the security video to surface that either shows him running around outside, weapon drawn, looking for the shooter, or hiding behind cover.

    Seems to me if he thought the shots were muffled because the shooter was on the other side of the school, then the quickest path would have been straight through the school, unless for some reason it sounded like it was off in one direction. But with reports how he moved between floors firing, that doesn't sound plausible.

    Has anything said in his defense sounded plausible?

    If video emerges of him charing around corners outside the building, pistol drawn, looking for the shooter, then his story thinking the shooter was outside could be plausible.
