I've seen the archives. There's a lot missing. Especially on how to make bombs, drugs, **** hard core with a neighbor, how empty out a movie theater with three ingredients, beating Wal-Mart security. Stealing power from a landline cord outlet...
The nitty gritty stuff folks chatted about on TOTSE.
I should have stayed on the farm.....
Anonymity will be important, but I was thinking in terms of just connectivity. We could see all "unapproved" encrypted traffic being blocked, BlueCoat type devices decrypting and filtering everything else, and possibly even layer one connectivity being turned off to whole areas. There's a working model for that: China. We need a network that doesn't rely on FCC controlled infrastructure.Only after the above would I suggest trying the obfuscated P2P networks. The basic technology of P2P was deliberately designed to NOT be secure. For that reason, the (supposedly) secure versions are a bit of a mess and easy to misconfigure.
I fear you're correct.Anonymity will be important, but I was thinking in terms of just connectivity. I don't think anyone will blame you. It's not about you.Blame it on me...
I am totally convinced that our radio, print and TV media bends and folds the truth until none of it can be believed.
Fools like Bloomberg take his personally owned media sources and pump his brand of BS out to the public so often that it resembles the truth.
Further, have you noticed that every episode of popular TV shows are all THE SAME SHOW? They package their messages and program our minds week after week. It's the same shit every week!
SO....what is the truth and where do we find it?
I dragged my short wave radios out of storage and have experimented with finding the truth. Short wave is not tied directly to commercialism and they don't owe their advertisers a say in what is broadcast. Many of the broadcasts are sponsored by the nation of origin and, of course, their slant on the story is inevitable.
Am I saying that short wave programs are free of bias? Hell no! But it's good to hear an opposing point of view from a totally different perspective. The truth has to be somewhere in the middle.
A good example is the yarn about China and its attempt to rape the Dollar and to plug in another currency in place of the Dollar as standard units of exchange. It's interesting to hear that same story right from the source Bejing, China English broadcasts.
Wanna hear about normalized relations between Cuba and the US? Dial up Radio Havana and hear it straight up. That is also a biased report, but helps to establish a mid point that may be truthful.
I snagged a program out of Florida last night that discussed the current trend of electronic targeting without Human interface. You plug in the data and when a target conforms to that data, POOF, that dude is gone!
My old Realistic DX440 does a pretty good job of bringing in this information but I've recently ordered an upgraded SW radio. It should be here in a few days.
Summed up, our media sources are corrupt and self serving. If we consider other media sources which may also be biased, the truth can be established by taking a middle ground. Is that a reliable way to find the truth? Not really. The best way is to be there and investigate personally. When you have several sources of input, then YOU have the power to sift and sort to find the truth.
This thread discusses Obama closing down a major source of Shooting Sports people to get at the truth. There are OTHER sources of information that we can fall back on! Short wave radio is a good source.
