I’d make one small change:

It was a very broad statement more about the general combined attitude of the nation, not the individuals per se.


And I would argue a good number of the parents of spoiled brats are spoilt themselves. Hell, it’s hard not to be given the prosperity of our great nation. But it’s going too far to the point that any hardship is considered to be some form of oppression. Even when said hardship is self inflicted.
