    Anybody run???

I used to run quite a bit and fell off the wagon for a few months... Yesterday I decided to jump on the treadmill and do a few miles..

Well..it did not go as planned and I feel crippled today....I decided while running that I felt great and kept pushing at a slow pace..5.1 miles later I stepped off for water...

Needless to say..I did not run today..:p

Agreed when I got off active duty I "took a break" and regret it because now I'm fat lol. I've ran about three times in the last year, first two wasn't too long after getting out so it felt normal and the last time was about two months or so ago, did about 3.5 miles the last time and thought my heart was gonna splode lmao. I can make excuses all day long but I won't just got lazy.

I ran CC in high school, I've been taking a break since the last meet. But seriously I'm trying to get back in it.

I used to love running. My knees went to shit so I'm low impact now.
I only run if I absolutely have to.

This right here probably played a big factor in it for me as well, I need an elliptical or bike but after awhile my knees will pop pretty bad.

'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
Used to run a lot. Back roads, gravel roads, off road, streets, etc. Ran until I was in my early 50s but made the mistake of running down a steep hill on pavement and jammed a knee. I can walk just fine but if I run more than 100 yds. I hurt for days. I miss running but it probably won't happen again.

I used to run. Screwed my knees up. Now fast walk, usually tread mill, stationary bike and my favorite, the elliptical. Of course you need a gym membership for those unless you buy the home versions, which the inexpensive gear is crap.

Know your body. Go at the pace it can handle and you'll get to where you want in a month or so.

I run as part of my workout. Lately I've gotten into the trail running instead of paved road/path running I did a lot of. Trails are much more dynamic. Also the dirt is much easier on my knees. Plus on hot days I can run in the shade through the woods. I actually get better mileage and work done on the trails than running path.

I don't like cardio indoors. I have to go somewhere. I want to be outside.

I need a new pair of shoes. Mine are ran out and due for replacement

I haven't ran since 05 if I try on anything but an elliptical my left leg is on fire and I can barely walk for a day or so after words. I am going to buy an elliptical when I am all healed up.

The only easy day was yesterday.

What kind of words? Four-letter words I'm assuming...
