I no longer see long lines of people at Academy when I stop to get gas nearby.

After I fill up, I'll walk into the store and get my small allotment of .22 LR. Some days it is only two fifty round boxes, on other days, they might have bulk packs.

Today, I had a choice of two boxes of CCI Standard Velocity 50-count boxes, one Winchester 525 count, or one Federal 325 count.

I walked away with the Federal Automatch.

Academy has put .22 LONG, on the actual shelves at the one off of 410 with no limit. $9.99 per 100rds.

Distribution looks like it is getting better.

Federal 325 count Auto Match at Academy today, and three boxes of 100 count Winchester 40 grain Plated Round Nose at Wally.

Was not expecting that. Did not have to stand in line for either.

if yer talking bout Academy they close at 2200 Monday through Saturday, when they are open, someone is always working the counter

10-4, I think wal mart stops selling ammo at 2200 hrs unless they have changed something. 0700-2200 for ammo sales.

When I left, they still had 4-5 bricks of Federal match, 100 rd boxes of CCI 29grain, CCI SV, Winchester red box ( plastic ), and some Aguila variety.

300 round bulk packs of CCI "AR Tactical" at Academy this morning, and lots of single boxes of 50 each of Aquila.

That was right around 8:30 a.m.

Me thinks the shortage will be fully corrected by September 2014. Don't expect prices to fall much.

I paid an average price of $.087 per round throughout the shortage, none bought from gougers, gun shows, or local gun stores. The price per round would have been lower, but I paid shipping to Midway, Target Sports, etc.

It is slowly getting better every day.

For the first time since December 2012, Academy had unsold .22 LR on their shelf behind the gun counter for seven consecutive days!

Wally can't keep up, but Academy has got an angle on ammo no one else has. No wonder they have more capital leverage over Bass Pro, Cabela's, Dick Head's, and many others.
