Don't pay any attention to @BRD@66 .... there are a lot of us real Texans that agree with you on the Shiner Bock....

Actually, I like Dos Equis pretty well, also....

truth be told, I like a LOT of different beers.... just keep away from me with the domestic "water-beers"....Coors, Bud, Miller, etc....
I like a beer to have some character.... IPA's need not apply....

edit: oh, yeah, we can talk whiskies (see how I avoided that?) if you like. I like all types of whisky.... Tennessee, Irish, Scotch, Canadian.... even some bourbons.

Welcome aboard - good list, except for that unfortunate Naval diversion. You and my best friend have the same flaw there...but nobody's perfect. And I'm a fan of both whisky and whiskey.

Ha, no offense taken. Dos Equis is another I enjoy. I pollute it with salt and lime though. I'm ok with Coors Banquet, but I agree about needing character.

Nice dodge on the whiskies. I have to admit I'm no connoisseur and am more like Helen Keller bumping around till I find something I like.

Let's discuss the flavor and smooth burn of a fine single malt Scotch whisky...preferably in a chilled glass with no ice. I prefer the Glenlivet 18 year old, but a nice Talisker or Glenmorrangie can really hit the spot too... There's nothing like sitting back and sipping a nice bold spirit from the Highlands.

Scotch blends have their place, too...I mean, sometimes you've gotta clean up a paint spill or disinfect a wound, right?

But its better than the Air Force, right? I mean that's not really even the military. More like a vacation. At least that's what I tell my brother in law. I did spend 6 months with the 15th MEU on a WestPac tour and some of those guys were alright.
