Hey, that makes you about my age. Cool. We're surrounded by geezers...

And BTW, we do get together fairly often. A bunch of us went shooting on the 14th out by Palestine on a member's land. Good times were had, as was good chili - with the beans on the side for those who wished to contaminate it.
Glad to be in good company. That shooting trip sounds like a good time. Sorry to hear about the beans though, some are harder to reach than others.

    Howdy and welcome to TGT.
I appreciated your interesting introduction... Athough:
    1) We will have to try to agree to disagree on your approval for the existence glocks.
    2) Hard stop on your legumaphobia condition - proper chilli must include beans.
    3) Thank you for your service, but Navy is most definitely not better than Air Force.
#2 just screams for an argument.

Let it go. We got bigger problems.

Drives my South Texan Wife nuts that I insist on keeping the beans separate all the way.

Welcome to TGT. Thanks for your service in the USN !

Whisky is from Ireland. Whiskey comes from lots of places.

Other way around. Irish whiskey, Scotch whisky.

The beans were safely contained in a separate pot, so none fouled the good chili I enjoyed.

At what age must a TGT member be to earn that coveted title?

    Don't worry, Tip, you're in. :D

My first Scotch in Scotland was a Glenmorangie I won in a homemade raft race, Glenlivet is okay but a Macallan 18 or even a Dalmore runs more to my taste.
I'll agree a nice blend is good for cleaning paint spills.

Macallan has an aftertaste I find unpleasant - which is sad, because before that aftertaste kicks in it's very enjoyable. I can't even remember all the labels I tried in Scotland...Glenmorrangie was definitely one, and Balvenie, and Talisker, and...yeah, I don't even know anymore. There were a lot to choose from. It was great.

jrbfishn, Moonpie and a few others bleed black powder, you can trust them.
I drink black coffee, eat black powder and bleed sludge.

Dang Glock lovers anyway. Single Actions and 1911s rule. If I can't shoot you with it, I can beat you with it. Your plastic shit will break on my hard head.
