Yep, got my card in the mail Dec 5th. Mailed it Nov 5th.
Right at a month.

Received my online application confirmation letter and mailed my packet in on 12/17 and now I wait....

My status changed late this morning:
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active


11/21/2009: Applied online.
11/30: Received packets.
12/19: Took CHL class.
12/21: Sent packets to DPS.
12/23: Packets delivered.
12/31: Processing Application.
01/12/2010: Completed - license issued

DynaBlue is miffed; she always figured we'd get them at the same time, but hers is still "Processing." I suspect my FBI report was fairly quick (those every-five-year reviews are evidently good for something!).
May be awfully quiet around here for a day or two (or hours, I dearly hope).... :1zhelp:

Checked my status during class and app complete certificate issued and active took about a month and a half.

Whoo-hoo! Sent my packet in last Monday, 01/11/2010. Checked my status a few minutes ago: "Processing Application"! Not bad!

01/15/2010: Plastic in hand!

DynaBlue picked it up from the PO box yesterday. There was a mention of "Ransom" when she called me at work to tell me, but she gave it to me over dinner (in our favorite downtown restaurant -- fortunately, I already had to be downtown for rehearsal last evening).

Still getting glared at, as she is still "Processing".

I took my CHL course in June 2009 and finally got my plastic card after waiting 20 weeks.

Not bad (understatement supremo). I sent my app in on the 11th of Jan!

I took the CHL course in Nov. 2009 and sent it in late Nov. Just got my CHL license in Feb. 2010.

DPS must be getting their stuff in order. I just received my license in the mail; from mailbox to mailbox it took exactly 26 days--much less than I had expected!

I just got mine in the mail 16 working days after it was delivered to DPS. I'd say the days of 6 month waits are over.

It has been right at a month and the DPS www just told me application complete licesne issued!!!! now just to wait on theplastic!

It really makes me wonder how they are completed since mine took one month to the day, but I hear about people who sent theirs off months ahead of me that are just now getting theirs.
Strange.
