"I dropped the discount when TGT owners accused me of advertising on their forum without paying them.
so I dropped the discount. you can express your discontent if you like to Alan and Travis (the site owners).
so all transfers are back to $20, Steve"

It never ceases to amaze me how many business owners in the firearms industry have to have such an attitude. Things don't have to be nearly that difficult. It's unfair to our paying sponsors when someone else comes on and starts advertising in any manner without doing their due diligence and becoming a sponsor themselves. This includes signature lines, user names, avatars. There are many ways a person can advertise passively and try to say they're not, but it's still advertising all the same. I really don't think it's so unreasonable a thing to ask for the relatively valuable service this site provides. For just $20 per month someone can become a sponsor. 20 bucks. A person could generate a lot more than $20 per month (one FFL transfer alone per month pays for it) in profit advertising on this site considering the 1.5+ million in individual users visiting this site per year...... 'Nuff said.

Friend of mine, John Lowe, just got his FFL. He charges $10 per transfer and is going to get his SOT closer to the renewal date for them so he can do NFA transfers.

I am looking for a recommendation for a reasonably priced FFL in the West Fort Worth area.

The last gun I bought I used Elks Castle because it was close and reputable. They did a good job but I just feel like $50 is too much for a handgun transfer.

    Anyone else have another recommendation?

    thanks
