Yeah, but here in West Texas we don't always realize any particular summer gonna be "the worst" til it's too late 'cause it's so dang hot nearly all the time. Actually 2010 around East Texas was a very hot and dry summer.
Anywheres outside of "downtown" Potosi I refer to as "The Greater Potosi Metropolitan Area" LOLSo the north side of your house faces 1750, that puts you after the curve. I'm on the east side of 1750 just before the curve.
In East Texas, I predict the early part of summer is going to be hot and really humid, with the end of summer being much drier.

You do realize that a good part of the panhandle is part of the mexican desert. Mild winters and hot as hell summers. Dry as a baptist meeting and windy as cnn.Well, on the other hand those of us who don't live in the Panhandle don't suffer snow and Canadian like cold.

Didn't get cold enough over winter, bugs are gonna be bad. On the plus side mosquitoes don't seem to like me.
