no expert of juggalos, but equate them to the group that does the burning man.. goofy white kids.. the KO game is quite another prize, and real issues of black on white crime.. polar bear hunting as it's called.. no excuses, stand by what i said on first page comments.. evil.. but when you have 50+ % drop out it's not surprising that you have we vs they... those that have it vs those that don't .. if we ever needed the black leaders to step forward it's now.. but their not because it's an invitation into discussing what's wrong with the inner city black problem that in every way is epidemic..

Dr Ben Carson could turn this around .. so could congressman Webb, and virtually any of the black republicans serving in Congress .. You won't hear Jessie or AL on this one.. and what a shame .. who knows how many generations of black kids lost because the Dems throw money at them to make the problem go away.. We all know the problem.. stop paying for babies, have a Dad in the home.. admit the problems and fix them..

All of this really drives home the point that, for the average civilian and even in most case LEOs, the absolute most relevant defensive training in the industry for our needs in my opinion is Craig David's (Southnarc - Shivworks) classes. We need to know about retention, positioning, using edged weapons, using edged weapons as a precursor to drawing our gun by cutting the attacker off you, what Craig terms MUC (Managing Unknown Contacts) for controlling people and situation/circumstances, and the list goes on.

If a person can't even keep from getting knocked out by some miscreant teenager, or getting raped by a group of demented hobos, the last thing in the world that they need is a cool guy carbine course, some NVGs, or otherwise blowing money on pimp tactical gear. That pretty much describes MOST of us. Just saying...

Bu..bububububut I'm a super duper tactical operator! How will I operate without those?

I think it's hilarious this has turned into a juggalo thread, but they really don't have anything to do with the kockout game. Mostly the wrong demographic...

Here's a good primer to juggalos. You can skip to the 9:45 mark for the insane clown action, but the whole show is pretty good  iShared - Watch - Workaholics - Season 1 , Episode 7

so.....i just watched that.....first episode i've ever seen of that show....hmmm....."walking, talking, diarrhea people"

One thing I've never been able to figure out from looking at ICP videos - Just what is Faygo? Is it comparable to anything we have in Texas?

Faygo is a cheap/economy brand of soft drink. Comparable with Walmart store brand.

Comes in many flavors but the juggelos prefer grape for some reason.

thanks London, you've made me a Chris Hernandez fan..

reality.. the attacks happen so fast that there's little that can be done.. UNLESS you keep your SA at a level that precludes being sucker punched.. between the military and prison i'm pretty jaded in manors of violence, but i can't get the picture of the young women cold on the street with the guy running off "stoked" at his success..

when did it happen that women and the elderly are fair game.. In our culture.. that includes black, white, and brown those have always been a protected species.. this has a new level of sickness to it.. boys with out fathers in the household to teach them those "absolutes" maybe..

what ever it is it's not going to get better until we have honest conversations about the demise of the black family.. if the media would give the same attention to Dr Carson, and Congressman Webb that it gives to Al and Jessie it could be solved in a generation.

Yes, it does. People need to learn how to keep their eyes open, how to throw a fast and accurate punch with decent power, and where that punch should land for the most effect and what to do after... Sometimes going to gun or even knife (which is usually quicker, especially up close) isn't an option. Learning to read body language and intentions is vital.

A ton of attacks I know of started with a request for the time or a cigarette because those things let an attacker in close, and distract the target.

My mid-life crisis lived in Michigan so I used to alter all my business travel plans, to the extent reasonably possible, to take me to Detroit. I can't say I've ever seen a bottle or can of Faygo.

One thing I've never been able to figure out from looking at ICP videos - Just what is Faygo? Is it comparable to anything we have in Texas?

Faygo is a cheap soda brand, the closest I can think of in Texas is Big Red. IIRC, Faygo was around $.79 for a 2 liter (plus $.10 deposit for the bottle) around the time I moved out of Michigan. That was a while ago, so accounting for inflation that's around a buck ten a 2 liter. Cheap.

    "Red Pop" was my fave.

Its gotten so bad here in Austin that its not worth going down town.

Ehhh... You just have to know how to handle bums in downtown Austin. Handling people in general is a thing...

I got really messed up on 6th street a couple years ago on New Year's Day. Managed to talk a bouncer into giving me his knife, talked a guy out of a fight (with me!) over a girl... all while completely wrecked. I do regret not pissing on the statue of Wilson on the UT campus, though.

And I'm very much not a people person.

I didn't realize Austin had gotten so bad until this thread. Yet another reason to never visit or move there.

I do partially wonder if Grand Theft Auto V started this trend around America. I LOVE video games and have never been one to lay blame on them, but then again....a game comes out introducing the sucker knock out and run, and here we have this popping up all over YouTube.

I've been to and lived in some really shitty places. Austin? Ain't a place in Austin I wouldn't walk through after dark. Heck, a lot of the places you could list that I shouldn't do that, I already have.

I took an old friend of mine to Austin one time, his first Austin experience was some dude offering to sell us pot before we'd even paid for parking. :p

Meh, it's just a good story. It appears to be nothing more.

Too bad though; the thought of thugs getting an instant death sentence warms my heart.

A dude in Michigan shot some bastard "playing" this "game" twice. Punk survived, but acknowledges he got off light. Someone in CT (of all places) stabbed one attacker to death, and put another one in the hospital (also knife wounds) after they tried knocking him out. Last I heard, nobody knows who that person is, and the police didn't much care because it was obviously a justified act on his part.

Same here. I spent quite a while in New York, Chicago, Detroit, and various other places on various assignments back about 15 years ago. I've lived in hotels for as much as 7 months straight. My hours were also weird, so I did lots of walking around in the middle of the night.

That spot on the tourist maps marked "Downtown Brooklyn"? Long before it was gentrified I tried hard to walk every alley between midnite and 4AM. Never had a problem. The only time I ever got close to trouble, believe it or not, was in Indianapolis after leaving a comedy show; you can run into crazy drunks anywhere.

Austin is fine and easy in my experience. I managed to escort an actress, publicist, and producer through very late night of alcohol-fueled revelry, attracting way too much attention, and still managed to extricate myself without problems.

    After all,...

Handling people in general is a thing...

...is a simple statement that binds up in it a great deal of wisdom.

The trick I've found to handling people is to come at them from an unexpected direction. The guy who was getting angry with me, looking for a fight? Bought him a beer and sat down and talked to him for 10 minutes. He had no idea how to handle it, because I didn't play my role.
