Not good news for putler. He's throwing a lot of cannon fodder into the battle trying desperately for a victory he can crow about on the upcoming anniversary of the beginning of the invasion.

Meanwhile russia cuts oil production by 500k barrels a day. That combined with lower prices they are getting per barrel means oil/gas revenues were down 46% in January vs January 2022. Add the effects of sanctions, russians fleeing to escape for anywhere else, mobiliks fed to the meat grinder, and you get a crashing budget & economy.

The question is can the Ukrainians hold on until russia runs out of steam or the oligarchs chuck putler out a window?

Yep- standard Russian military strategy: “send more men.” But now his manpower is actively fleeing his own country.

Be careful, many here on TGT still believe our government’s ‘’line’’ on this.
You're not very good at reading comprehension. No one here believes the gooberment line. They have differing opinions as to the need for helping Ukraine or stopping Russia. Some think the money is well spent others think it's a waste and others are indifferent cause the gooberment would just blow it elsewhere.

But nobody buys the gooberment line on any of it. None of these things are mutually exclusive of the others. You can think the gooberment is lying about shit and still think putin needs to be stopped while thinking Ukraine is a corrupt nation who we shouldn't waste money on. It's all a matter of priorities.

It's called critical thinking. Or pragmatism.

International politics and a country's national interests are never simple. It's a dirty muddy buisness.

But no one is as gullible as you insinuate.

The U.S. military is considering sending Ukraine thousands of seized weapons and more than a million rounds of ammunition once bound for Iran-backed fighters in Yemen, an unprecedented step that would help Kyiv battle Russian forces, U.S. and European officials said.

    DO IT!

Can't imagine why they haven't before now. Let weapons Russia provided to terrorists be used to fight Russia.
